Adel Taarabt wants to quit QPR for financial reasons ADEL TAARABT last night dropped a fresh bombshell on QPR â by declaring he wants to quit Loftus Road for more money. The Moroccan playmaker, who captained Neil Warnock's side into the Premier League in May, walked out after being replaced midway through Sunday's 6-0 defeat at Fulham. Taarabt, 22, has now said he wants a move to a bigger club to boost his bank balance. Formerly QPR's best-paid player, the ex-Spurs youngster has lost his status to recent arrivals Joey Barton and Shaun Wright-Phillips. He has previously claimed interest from Manchester United and Real Madrid before urging Chelsea and Arsenal to make moves for him. Taarabt, on international duty with Morocco, spoke out at the Atlas Lions' training camp. He insisted: "I want to leave QPR during the January transfer window. It is for financial reasons." Morocco coach Eric Gerets sprang a surprise by recalling Taarabt to face Tanzania at the weekend after the Marseille-born player snubbed a call-up in June. Taarabt said: "It was a youthful mistake. However, I have no regrets about what I did." iReader
If this is true then Adel is a twat! Why say this now? Maybe he just wants a new contract. I see a rumour saying PSG want Chamach, Taraabts mate from Arsenal. Wouldnt suprise me if they have talked together of leaving from France in Jan for the money.
If the money were to be reinvested into the team then i would say see you later . Under the old regime this would not have happened but i reckon TF would open up the old cheque book.
Taarabt wants to leave for money Less than a week after storming off following his half-time substitution, Adel Taarabt has revealed he wants to leave Queens Park Rangers for money. R's boss Neil Warnock got the best out of the talented but temperamental Moroccan as the club won promotion last season, but the step up in class has seen mixed results from the player. Taarabt cut little ice against Fulham at the weekend and was hauled off at the break - prompting the player to storm out of the ground. Warnock attempted to play down the move but it would appear the Moroccan is still smarting. The arrivals of Joey Barton and Shaun Wright-Phillips at Loftus Road have forced Taarabt down the financial pecking order and the 22-year-old is not happy. "I want to leave QPR during the January transfer window," Taarabt is quoted as saying in The Sun. "It is for financial reasons." http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/114654.html?CMP=OTC-RSS First of all the source being The Sun take it any way you want. But if it's any truth in this (which is highly likely as he always spouts of som **** when he's away on international duty), i think he has a huge obsticle before it can be a reality, his performances. QPR will probably have the same valuation of him as in the summer, i'm not so sure if the interested parties will meet that valuation any time soon. Can only see this as a positive actually Now he has to step up to the plate and put in some match winning performances for this to materialise, and it won't happen until next summer at the earliest anyway
Please remember all the previous we have had with "The Sun" Adel has already been told that if he wants more money then he has to earn it. if he steps up to the plate and starts to perform then he will be offered more at Christmas. If he doesn't then the club will look to make money out of him by selling. The problem he has is that unless he puts some perfomances in and shows the football world what he can do at Premiership level then any offers in January will be much lower than the £10m+ that the club would expect. With every report of tantrums, walkouts, problems with team mates - true, exaggerated or just made up - his chances of a move get smaller and smaller. This is something that he has to address or he will sink into the pile of "players who could have ....".
I dont believe it if it was printed in the Sun. That paper has a real issue with us. Chelski right wing load of sh*t paper!
I didnt realise it was printed in the Sun. Now I know that I dont believe it to be honest! 15 points deduction spring to mind anyone?
We all know what "The Sun" is like .... .... and every time they print something there are those on here who just on board and start shouting. Remember, IT IS IN THE SUN!
What so the The Sun print something and it's our fault? Have you seen some of The Sun's prints about us? http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...-legend-Id-never-met-him-but-I-loved-him.html It's a well known fact the national newspapers are heinously anti-Chelsea. Only the Metro, Guardian and Evening Standard give objective views when it comes to us.
Spot on re The Sun, just think it's important that we bear in mind that the other party here are Adel Taarabt. He's well known for his not so thought through comments in the media, especially when on international duty or back in france.
Following on from DL's point, I doubt there's a club in England who feel they are treated fairly by the Sun or any of the tabloids; I don't believe they have a special penchant for making life miserable for QPR alone. They specialise in producing an elephant by extrapolation when all they have found is a mouse bone. Unfortunately too many of us take delight in the discomfort and misery of others; that's why these papers sell as well as they do.
If he wants to leave and he goes for £10m plus then thank you and goodbye, he was clinical for us in the Championship and we should be thankful to him, as he got us where we are. But so far in the Premiership he is no where near the spectacle and if he doesnt appreciate QPR as the club that made him the player he is today, then he can jog on. Poor lad on £25k a week.....he must be struggling.
is that quote not the old one when he was on tour before when we thought Newcastle were after him? If its from the SUN then we would be a League One side now according to 'Faulinegate' if you believed them. Adel like us knows that in January NW will be getting 2-3 new players and his position could go to a new player. I am fed up withplayers moaning about money, agree he is a good player but the same thing happened at Spurs with his ego. If he wants to play for a bigger club and wants more money then he can #### off for all i care. I want players that will fight in the Premiership not sulk and leave at half time. If our team was full of players with the same attitude as Shaun Derry we would be top 6 at the moment.
i wonder what team would want a player that chucks his toys out of the pram when he isn't getting is own way? Adel...prove me wrong. perform like you can....and keep your ego in check
If it's true (and that's a big IF) then let's cash in and move on. He's played 7 games this season, no goals, average performances at best and that stinking attitude makes him a liability. We can do better in Jan. We needed him to get us out of the championship, he did that, thanks a mil Adel, now some rich sucker can do take him.
