Not just a ham sandwich but the secret recipe ham sandwich that is the ham sandwiches you get at weddings and christenings that was given to me by one of the old ladies that make them.
It was quite funny actually. I'll tell the story. So I was at a christening buffet in a church hall, the classic location for the little ham sandwiches. So I head straight to the ham sandwiches because everyone knows they are amazing and nobody knows why. I say to Mrs luv that I'd love to know how to make them like this and that it's crazy nice for such a simple thing. Some old biddy hears me and says sit down and I'll tell you how. She then goes through it like it's proper science.
Think of it like this, when that old bird does one, only you know the secret, if you do one it's lost forever. So don't be selfish man, dont you want your grandkids to eat those same ham church buffet sandwiches too?
I get you but I'm worried it'll break the internet if it gets out. How many times have you bitten into one of those and wondered how the **** the little triangle ham sandwich at one of there's occasions tastes so ****ing good?
When I have jam on toast I'll do 4 under the grill, one side only, salted butter and jam, then I place them like a tower 1 on top of the other and cut them down the middle. You get the jam from one on the bottom of the other and it's just the **** really
Look up Jamie Oliver Get Ahead gravy then take out all the fancy **** he puts in it like star anise, cranberry sauce, port etc. Keep it simple and follow the method.
Ive got a big leg of lamb and Ill probs get a big joint of beef for xmas, and probs a chicken too. Id like different Gravy for each. Not for me really, I like Mustard on my beef and mint jelly on my lamb personally
