Rebelbhoy you are nearly as big a bollocks as username and Medro, Charlie Mulgrew was never accused of mistreating a minor, he was asked to give his explanation of why his child was left sitting in the car. I don't know what his explanation is but what is common knowledge is that hr was not arrested, and not charged with any offence. As he was on the Celtic books he certainly must have been innocent or he would have had to face some trumped up charge. More importantly I hope all the Celtic fans remember the reason we are in the position we are in is because of the Scotland Assistant Manager Houston's instruction to his Dundee Utd players to get Brown's ankle as he knew Brown had received an injury previously playing for Scotland. Not surprisingly the referee gave him no protection what so ever. Brown made a gallant attempt to play against Rangers only for that shower to target him again. In total we are going to miss Scot Brown for 14 -16 weeks. Brown is the one man with captaincy qualities at Celtic Park and is indeed very badly missed and will be until he comes back. The fact that the obnoxious bears feel the need to ridicule him so much is pure jealousy and anger because he signed for us not them.
He does have a point with this bit though. I remember that game. United players booted Brown in the ankle every opportunity they got. I think Thompson was the referee and was letting them away with murder. And now Scotland are without him for two games they have to win. Cannae wait until he's out the Scotland AND Dundee United jobs the fat, bald bastard!
Thanks stereo, It doesn't surprise me that username thinks I am not the brightest. Anyone that doesn't go to their schools and doesn't sing from their hymn sheet have something wrong with them in their opinion. Bears sometimes have to be tolerated I suppose it is better than them sending bombs to our manager.
I am sure you will have kids, Nanny goat, Billie and Liz would probably be appropriate for you. You didn't put much thought into your own name 1882
saw a stat on celtic opta on twitter that out of 34 matches Ledley has started for Celtic, we have lost just the one game. says it all. also the last seven games that Hooper and Stokes have started have resulted in seven wins. The last seven games with any other combination has resulted in seven defeats. Lenny please play stokes and hooper up front!
Why is it so obvious to everyone but Lennon? I honestly think, by leaving Stokes on the bench, he's cutting off his nose to spite his face.
Now Stereo, for a man who posts many sensible posts, you do let an odd foolish one slip through. No Manager, no matter how stupid he is would ever keep a player sitting on the bench out of poor spite. Lennon has done many thing but I don't think he is really stupid. I think he has his reasons, reasons that are not in the public domain. Keeping them private maybe in the interest of Stokes and Celtic. Lets hope if there are problems or difficulties they can be sorted out. Playing Stokes, may or may not bring us victories as some posters claim Lennon only played Stokes against weaker teams and that meight be why we won the games he started.
Some good points here sh. I'm not convinced that Anthony Stokes is the absolute answer either - I've seen him run out of ideas in games. However, I think he deserves a run as his partnership with Gary Hooper has produced goals, whether or not against 'weaker' teams. As has been repeated by a number of fans here - we need a settled team (although, obviously, the injuries to the likes of Scott Brown and Joe Ledley don't help!) One other thing - I know there's been criticism of Kris Commons and that stupid 'tackle' that got him sent off etc., but I thought we had a much greater threat on goal with him in the side than we've had for some time.
stokes may not be the answer but he is better than anything else we have on offer. I agree about commons, i thought he did ok on sunday until his sending off.
Most people would agree with you on Anthony Stokes. The fact that Neil Lennon doesn't has me wondering is there not another reason. Commons from Christmas to the end of season had to be first choice. Earlier this season he wasn't in anything like in the same form. Looked very good especially in the first half on Sunday. He was unlucky that he came up against "anti-Celtic Craig". Considering what Craig allowed the Dundee Utd players to do to Scot Brown on a continuous basis earlier in the season, I think Kris could feel he was hard done by; to be sent off for his first tackle this season. I think this even acknowledging it was a bit late, because if every team who committed a late or hard tackle on Celtic players had their players sent off : Celtic would have ended up playing against 9 or 10 men in every game.
