A fairly upbeat and honest sounding assessment. Certainly not gloom and doom.

But that well crafted article will be for nought if AFC Wimbledon give us the kind of football lesson their hated rivals MK Franchise meted out.
As fans we want to see signs of fight and improvement on the pitch.
    Words count for very little.

So it isn't the end for Jonny Williams. If Bowyer does get the reaction he wants there's no doubt we're stronger with an in-form Williams. Assuming Doughty's gone, he's the only player we've got who can go past defenders, if he wants to. Let's hope it turns out to be a storm in a tea-cup.

Great that the fans were chanting Lee Bowyer's name. Also Johnny Williams. Lost the dressing room my arse.

I was wrong to think we needed a change of management this season.

I placed too much emphasis on TS stating that promotion was the target, assuming that promotion had to come at pretty much any cost.
Sandgaard has backed LB (and not in the dreaded 'vote of confidence' way, but genuinely) and TS says Bowyer is the right man for the job.

The poor performances before today still leave doubts in my mind, but this emphatic victory has helped lift spirits all round, including mine.
If our owner is willing to back Bowyer even if we don't gain promotion this season, I'll trust in his judgment.
TS hasn't put a foot wrong in almost three months.
He's done right by the Club. I'll reaffirm my faith in the way he wants to do things.

Just listened to the Sandgaard Talksport interview from yesterday.
All that matters is that we at least get into the play-offs, nice to hear him not putting pressure on Bowyer. He sang the praises of Bowyer, that was good to hear.

Chris Solly has a few pops at Lee Bowyer today.

He says Bowyer told him last January that his time at the club was coming to an end.

Chris Powell was the best manager he had at Charlton be cause he made everyone feel involved <whistle>

Asked to name his favourite Charlton people, he mentions Powell, Keith Peacock and Chris Parkes.

No mention either of the fans who paid his wages for 11 years.

When Powell was manager Solly was the best RB at the club. When Bowyer was manager Matthews was the best RB. Simples.

Agreed. The Powell years were at the peak of Solly's Charlton career.
And CP was a popular manager, with a very different style from Bowyer. Nothing wrong with different ways of doing things.

Sorry to hear if Solly is saying anything negative about Charlton.
I have not wanted to slate him for his treachery, because of the long years of good service he gave.
    But he refused to play.
He should leave it alone now and just get on with his life.
His remaining stock with many Charlton fans will only diminish if he does not.

If Bowyer gave him a face-to-face "heads-up" in January instead of cutting him and banishing him to train with the kids, then I can't see that he has any complaints.

It was open to him to start looking around and it's nobody's fault if he couldn't find another club, whatever the reason.

It’s not great journalism from Cawley.

He hasn’t mentioned the club captain refusing to play in his testimonial year.

The tactics in the last 20 mins today were completely unacceptable.

We won’t go up with this mindset.

Defending a one goal lead hasn't worked and will not work in future. When is the penny going to drop, it just invites pressure.

Must admit this game held very little meaning for me.
I spent most of the 2nd half listening to Boris instead.

I wonder how long it will be before all the leagues below the Championship are abandoned.
The way things are going, I think this season will be off before the end of January.

Lucky for us FHB jnr came down early, and just before they equalised I said we would crack. I'd been hoping to see Williams on to relieve the pressure, but when Matthews came on I bet we all feared the worst. I bet nobody trusted our huge defense to hold out for the rest of the game.
