I suppose naybe it will depend on if you're in and about the top 4 when you hit the knockouts. If not Jose will deffo make it a priority, and I wouldn't worry about any lack of effort from the players once Jose has them within a few games of some much needed silverware tbh. As you know I thought we'd be in for a hiding tbh, I thought Jose would go for us more tbh, but if that had of ended as a draw I would have been a little pissed as I felt we were the better team on the night, was delighted for Bobby tbh that's gonna do wonders for his confidence.

If we had taken our chances and won he'd have spouted ****e about klopp being outsmarted by Maureen. As for us ... hopefully we won't let our heads drop. Xmas and early January killed us last season Lost to Chelsea, beat Brighton, drew with Norwich,lost to Southampton, lost to Liverpool an drew with Watford. 5 points from 6 games killed our hopes of top 4. Never recovered from that run Our run this time is Leicester, wolves, fulham, Leeds, Villa and Sheffield Utd. Need 13 or 14 points from those to maintain top 4 chances imho.
Hoult hates Mourinho but after the City win, I heard him on the radio, grudgingly full of praise for Mourinho, his tactical acumen and his rejuvenation at Spurs. So he'll say pretty much anything...if it fits the mood of the day. The next big test for Mourinho is whether he can get a tune out of the squad. I'm not too optimistic and fear that he will overplay Son/Kane/Hojbjerg/Sissoko. We all know that the alternatives aren't on the same plane as these guys but he needs to be giving Winks/Vinicius/Bale/Alli more minutes than they've been getting up to now (even in the EL). If he doesn't, we risk losing critical players for months...like last season.
