Running rings around lefties? WTF are you on about? What’s climate change got to to with partisan political stances? Oh and I went to bed, and even posted good night, but don’t bother letting facts get in the way.
You do know that the Heartland Institute is an organisation of shills, who have been funded by fossil fuel cash for over 30 years don’t you?
Who told you that? Unlike the IPCC who we all fund with billions of dollars to tell us what the politicians want us to hear. I'm guessing you didn't read it because it disagrees with your opinion That is the problem. Open your mind ffs!
The facts told me that, go research them. Their entire aim is to discredit climate change science, their major funder when they started was Exxon Mobil. This is a subject I’ve read reams about, and when you check out ‘the other side’ of the scientific argument (not that it’s really an argument as there’s circa 97% consensus, but still) and then do a bit of research about those putting forward the case, in my experience you’ll almost always find that those taking this contrary stance, are in fact funded either obviously or opaquely by fossil fuel cash. Open your mind indeed, lol.
The Heartland Institute didn't start fighting climate science. Oil companies have contributed but Exxon have distanced themselves from HI. After their donors were harrassed they no longer publish their donors. The 97% consensus was taken from a survey of just over 10000 questionaires sent to scientists in many fields by university students. Only 30% replied and the questions they asked were such that anyone woild agree. The actual 97% is based on the response of only 79 responders who identify as climate scientists. You've just picked two "facts" that demonstrate you don't read much more than the abstracts. You have to read the actual studies or the reports.
Btw if you and Eric are just going to chuck the same old soundbites at me that have been there for the ladt 20 years don't bother. I've heard them many times before.
I have found a paper that analyses the four reports cited by NASA, Al Gore and even Obama. I know the other side won't read it but I will refer to it whenever I'm told there is a scientific consensus. It's not the Heartland Institute. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...FjABegQIAhAB&usg=AOvVaw3zZDXzp3UEm9fY5fRmXiAQ
Heartland was and still is funded those who have a vested interest in climate change denial, including Koch, it’s merely a fact. As for that 97% consensus denial, no idea who’s fed you that, but it’s absolute bollocks. The consensus figure was arrived at by examining 12,000 peer reviewed papers and their content, not sending out questionnaires. There’s been many attempts by the denial lobby to decry this, seems like you’ve quoted one.
I told you we wouldn't agree. Do you accept that the climate is changing and an increasing number of events, such as bush fires, droughts, floods, coral bleaching, ice caps melting and glaciers retreating are occurring, for whatever reason?
if we do that ,we can never compete with them on the world stage, as no one is controlling Chinas output of waste and Carbone they don't give an eff about who it hurts or the damage it causes, the only way to make them see sense it to stop trading with them but that's not going to happen either as everyone loves a bargain
