Looks like he's been given a paperweight for 32 years service. Not even a clock. After 20 years at the Royal Mail the manager came round, thanked me for my service, and presented me with a biro. One year our Christmas bonus was a packet of lettuce seeds. They didn't even pay for them, it was a gift from a client.
Worth remembering here that the recognition for 32 years service is from the EFL - not the Club (Chris Parkes' employer). Not sure why 32 years is a significant number to the EFL. Could this mean that Parkes is about to retire?
