I have just been reading about Operation Cygnet, 2016 it was and an exercise to see how ready the UK was ready for a virus, flu, respiratory pandemic.

The outcome of the exercise was the country was not in a good state of readiness and tha that the Govt had to institute polices and practices urgently especially for care homes.

Apparently Germany took a copy of 5his report and followed up.

Well summed up. That is an excellent post mate, during this pandemic, whoever is running the show is damned if they do and damned if they don't.

Like I said previously Roger, I never involve myself in discussions about politics and religion, they invariably degenerate into argument and childish name calling.
Everyone is entitled to their views and I fully respect that, it's good to listen to a different perspective and as much as I follow politics and have done for 50 years, a comment on the few pages of this thread has made me think and change my thoughts on something.

Aye, they wouldn't release the findings at first, they were available before the start of the pandemic. Was done so as not to cause further panic to Joe public, or so I am led to believe.

So you don’t think that Germany having nearly double the space per person has any bearing?

na mate Monty is a devout labour voter with a good brain and will work out which way he will go if he reads different articles about how radical the left has become, i always voted labour as did my family, it was only mingling with Southerners with differing view points i realised where i was going wrong, I would vote Labour again but not this lot, i cant see them getting back in power in my lifetime, Boris has done trade deals now with USA MEXICO CANADA AUS NEW ZELAND JAPAN INDIA As only just over 10 % of our exports are to the EU it makes sense we are now on the worlds largest trading block on 0 tariffs

The contracts manager at the firm I have been working for lives in Britain's most sparsely populated county, Northumberland. He has just spent 3 weeks in hospital with Covid. Thankfully on the mend now.
