Depends in what position he's played. Play him as a 10 or in the middle of 3 in a 4231 (same thing?), and he might get 2. Not if he's on the wing though.

    Line up looks ok.
Wilson in the middle of Whyte and Ojo?
He might get you the 2 you're after sparks.

Started well but getting overrun in midfield again.

    Passing very sloppy.

Needs to change something but what? Bench very limited.

Mark Harris made a real difference. Whyte was just anonymous.
Amazing penalty save by Ethridge but he was at sea for our winner.
Strange game, started strongly (unlike last Saturday) and only started playing again when Harris came on.
Referee bottled a 2nd yellow on Ojo.

Top two creating a small gap then very little between the next 7 with us close behind that.

Whyte is similar to Joe Mason and Rhys Healey, potential with little end results....let him go out on loan if we can’t get fug all for him! :emoticon-0103-cool: Winky Wannky bird for sale....swap for Bluebird!

Got there in the end with my red button thankfully.

What a roller coaster of a game that was.

Hell of a run by their second goal scorer...

We looked far more attack minded and dare I say it, dynamic but at the same time far more shaky at the back again.

Nice to see us win a game after shading possession again though. Been a while!

15 points from 18... promotion form that is... <whistle>

That’s harsh on Mason who scored quite a few really decent goals. Healey has little opportunity. Whyte is just plain average.

Yes Masky was a bit harsh on Mason, especially after scoring that goal at Wembley....looked class. Couldn’t sustain it...lacked physicality, Healey too! :emoticon-0103-cool: Whyte for sale....give us a quid and a firm handshake!

Two more changes on 90 mins last night and only 1 before that.
More inovative use of 5 available subs?
Dont want to hear Harris whinging about the fixture schedule or tiredness.

However, I can see us falling off a cliff after Chrismas as the relentless schedule catches up with a core number of players.

I've repeated over and over again I can't believe how slow Ojo is - he's never a winger in a million years. He also made some half hearted underhit hospital passes to team mates and deserved hooking off as much as an unconfident Whyte.

Bennett was Mr. Dangleyfoot a couple of times last night. He dangled out a backheeled foot at that bloke who then ran past him and scored their second instead of facing him up and crunching him - very poor defensively. The Ojo/Bennett left side was very poor and all the threat came down our right with Bacuna and particularly Wilson after bringing on Harris.

Midfield was OK and Vaulks had his best game for a while, but he flashed wildly at couple of loose balls when he had so much time to take a touch and place it with power. Pack was worth his place on the pitch just for that sublime pass that put Wilson in.

Finally on a personal note, I was screaming at the TV for Wilson to hit that bloody ball instead of playing Galtzel in. <doh> Then when we got the penalty, I was screaming again for Wilson to take it and up stepped Glatzel. <doh> Then finally that pass from Pack and ........<laugh>

Could be doing passable imitations of lemmings by Boxing Day with Norwvich away and Brentford at home to come.

    Hope I'm wrong.

Trouble is, with our thin squad, we had few options last night. Hoilett still injured and Murphy not on the bench. I assume he's injured too.

From 9 subs we had 5 youngsters from which only Bagan and Harris had first team experience. Yes, Ojo had a poor game but at least he gets involved and doesn't hide.

Whyte does a lot of off ball running and gave good help to Bacuna but ffs he's supposed to be a winger. When he gets the ball he rarely takes on his marker and usually turns back inside to pass.

I must admit I didn't think Harris would do much for us when he came on. Boy, was I wrong. Playing him and Glatzel up top pushed their defence back, created space for Wilson and somehow we turned the game around.

Credit to NH for changing things around.

As for the penalty, I think Glatzel's previous pen was away at Direby last season. He scored to the keeper's left. Etheridge was our keeper that night. He clearly locked away that piece of info and used it successfully last night. He has saved 2 out of 3 pens in the last week. He must be asking questions of his team mates though as that is pretty sh1t defending.

I'm pleasantly surprised with that win. However we radically need to improve the performance for the next 2 games.

Midfield was terrible as was most areas saying that.

Ojo needs a rest. Hopefully Junior is fit for Saturday.

    Vaulks had a shocker sorry.

    Good comeback though.

Pack edges Wilson for man of the match for that pass.

He wasn't good, just adequate. If Vaulks had a shocker, then Ojo and Bennett must have been electrocuted - they were pathetic.

I'm glad we won it 3-2 and not 3-0, otherwise we'd be falling all over ourselves again at the prospect of autos.
