Maybe they read some of the previous thoughts on how poor they had been and decided to make more of an effort
Or perhaps they were told to play to a different game plan? JH is constantly told on here to whip early crosses in, but perhaps MB tells him not to because we are poor in the air and we are just giving the ball away?
I think JH being substituted at half time against West Ham and on 57 minutes against Chelsea showed he wasn’t doing what was expected of him BTW I don’t want him to play bad to prove any points, nothing would please me more for him to do that week in and week out for us. I hope he repeats that performance on Saturday Like many others have pointed out, he is so frustrating as he shows great talent one game then the next 2-3 you wonder if it’s the same guy or a twin brother.
I see Steve Bruce feels Newcastle gave as good as they got for 77 minutes. No wonder the Newcastle fans hate him.
Nice to dish out a pasting but most important to have stopped the rot and played some really good stuff. Re Harrison (and others) - sometimes the difference between ‘playing well’ and ‘having a stinker’ is actually the opposition and state of the game. Double teamed and harried out of the game some matches, where teams have cut off our traditional out routes. Up against a makeshift full back yesterday... and given the freedom of Elland road when they chased the game.
I'd say effort is not what they are lacking. Thank **** I've stopped going on the matchday thread during the game. Depressing stuff and a lot of knee jerk comments IMO. Comments of course people are entitled to have. At least that pudding costa wasn't anywhere near the team.
Exactly Shako, opinions, some think Costa is ace fo'fuxake My only problem with Harrison is he ****s about too much with the ball in and around the box, very good player on his day, fantastic goal yesterday which will boost his confidence no end. Actually, Costa has shown glimpses that he could be very good, but thats all it is, glimpses, i dont like the ' i can't be arsed' look about him. Maybe we should all remember the Majority of our lads were championship players not too long ago and are up against the big boys and arent doing too badly All Leeds Aren't We
The point though OLOF opinions or not, one week some players are put on a pedestal, but a few bad games and the so called experts come out blaming positions, Bielsa's stubborness, tiredness etc etc. I'm not saying those players are by any means perfect, but the one thing they don't lack is effort. On a different point and maybe this should be on the politics thread. I was thinking that Sky sports are a bunch of hypocrites. On the the one hand they let Carragher keep his job after spitting at a young girl, but sack Le Tissier and a few other pundits for not wanting to wear a political badge.
100% effort and that bit of consistent quality and we'll be fine mate Sky are just absolute hypocritical ****s, i cant think which is worse The BBC or them
It's just a pity sky have such a monopoly on the football front. I see that cambridge fc are banning supporters who booed the knee thing. So much for democratic peaceful protests. When are these morons going to realise that the booing is not directed at precious blacks, but the political ideals of blm and the other far left movements.
What are they gonna do if/when the fans are all back and 90% of them boo the racist bending of the knee,? ban them all,? the dumb woke far left extremists are eating themselves Go woke, go broke
