Here is a good quiz question for you all to have a go at.

This player was registered with Man U and Wolves before coming to Watford. He played as a sub for the Horns, but went on loan to Lincoln before a permanent transfer to Plymouth.

He played a total of 11 league games in his whole career.

    Who was he?

OFH, I have absolutely no idea - any chance of narrowing it down a bit eg decade or position?

I researched for a short time and did not find a player like that but think he must have played quite a long time ago. I do not know of modern footballers moving with no games played and not being sent on loan.

Sorry guys, I haven't been ignoring you, but a bat or an owl must have flown into a telephone wire as I lost my internet connection for a time. :(

Richard Flash was correct ak. Clearly much too easy for you. 1996-8 Barry, so in my books just like yesterday.

Gerry Armstrong for quiz question 1. I was there so know that one. Will have to ponder a little on 2 & 3.

Building works going on in the hamlet, a tiny cottage is going to be extended. Today they had some ready mix arrive. Thought it might remind Yorkie of something. <laugh>

It is funny how somethings about Watford stick with you forever. Somewhere, tucked away in a box in rural France is a copy of a program that I have saved all through the years.

I discovered that someone has up-loaded a copy of that program as it celebrates Watford's first ever promotion. For me it brings back happy memories of being an enthusiastic teenage fan, and shows just what euphoria there was in Watford back then.
