One of those players was signed from the club we sold PEH to and the other has taken his place in our starting line up. We win.
Imagine being Big Sam though...In management terms hes basically the beached whale no lad looks twice at when spirits are high at the start of the night and then as soon as the landlord calls out last orders and the risk going home alone spring to mind, suddenly out come the harpoons!!!
I just read that they've only had four wins since February! Ouch. Apparently the owner is also looking to sell so I guess Big Sam makes sense in terms of trying to protect the status of the club.
Last nights result aside they've been piss poor, on another night City would of won that by 4 or 5 bar a few decent saves and poor finishing.
Yeah, I'm hesitant to criticise them too much after we brutally sacked Nige for Poch. That was in hindsight a fantastic decision, maybe they will get just as lucky
He picked Fulham over City which everyone ridiculed him for but now looks like he has a good chance of winning
WBA reported to be targeting Sam Allardyce to take over. (Guardian) Ooof. I know people love to get on Allardyce, but he wins football matches and I think he would be supported in January. That team will be tough to beat by the end of the window. I think he’d keep them up actually.
Because the last last job he was given he did exactly what was asked of him in keeping us up. Unfortunately for him he is now seen as another Big Sam who's only talent is in coming in to try and save a club in danger of going down
Sam Allardyce is a LOT better manager than Mark Hughes. A balloon with a face painted on it could have got more out of that squad than Pellegrino did, so I don't actually rate what he did with us all that highly. Dreadful, dreadful manager.
