zactly he’s inherited a squad of players, half of which should have been shown the door over the last 2 or 3 years but the board have stupidly held onto them on mega wages and now no **** wants to buy them. thankfully a whole bunch of them will be out of contract this summer so we can torch the deadwood. the signings Arteta has made have been really good. Partey, Gabriel and Tierney. But yeah he’s gonna need more than one window to sort this mess out. Seem to remember it taking Klopp a good couple of seasons before he even began to show promise.
You'll just have to take the hit and let them leave on frees imo, and more importantly the chaps who sort these things out should learn a fukin lesson i regards to handing out big, long contracts willy nilly. Klopp had an almost immediate impact tbh, you could see a change in play style within a few weeks tbf but yes it took him a few windows but he used what he had at the time mainly and gave them all a chance to prove they could stay and be part of what he was trying to do. In some cases I thought this was a mistake but he's turned players like hendo and gini into top class players (to name just 2) I thought hendo was fuking gash like everyone else and I couldn't believe we bought gini from a relegated Newcastle side but look at them now. I think Arteta will sort it out eventually but the Gooners have to be patient with him and prepare themselves for a Bumpy season this time round.
They will go on a free bro. And thankfully the muppets who allowed it to happen have also been shown the door.
i believe his achievements make him a better manager than RALPH..... please log in to view this image
There’s also a big chunk of stadium costs in there. Why do you care? Our total debt is now only £2.3m btw.
Mate I can't sorry... I actually wanted to but your clubs in the relegation battle with mine, so until nufc are safe I just can't.
Can't see you lot going down tbh. Big Sam rocking up might make it more interesting. Only Sheffield United certainties imo.
Takes a while to change a club philosophy. Would be happy with Arteta at Goodison, has a bright future as a coach/manager. Gerrard, Lampard etc didn’t get it right straight away, if boardroom is sorted and he is backed to get rid of the dross and bring in players like Partey then he will take them back to top.
