I thought you didn't want EU peeps to come over here? Make your mind up ffs.

We've gone over this before so many times, how has it not sunk in yet?

    1. We give the EU money to be part of the club
    2. We make more money as a country being part of that club

Let's see what happens in 2021, do you think the economy will do well peter?

Even the leavers are giving it 'it may take a few years of hardship' etc. It's absolutely beautiful. Leaving the greatest trading and social block in the history of humanity to then have to negotiate what will naturally/logically be a worse deal with said block must be one of the biggest acts of National self harm in history.

And it's only starting. Thank you Nige <rose>

"I thought you didn't want EU peeps to come over here? Make your mind up ffs."
You got that wrong then. I've never said that. I do think we should control our own borders and decide who we want to enter the country.

"1. We give the EU money to be part of the club"
We dont want to be part of the club especially if it involves giving the EU money so they can give the money to businesses to close down in the UK and move the factory to these other countries.

"2. We make more money as a country being part of that club"
No we don't. This "club" puts up protectionist barriers to protect inefficient French farmers and increase the price of imports from the rest of the world.

"do you think the economy will do well peter?"
Obviously Covid is gong to affect the economy but in the medium term I think the economy will do better.

This may be a stupid suggestion, but can't you just move to Southern Ireland and carry on being part of the EUROPEAN UNION?

So if I'm reading this right.

A guy has a factory making bikes in England.

He hires workers to manufacture the bikes creating jobs.
He has an office team general manager van drivers etc .

The British tax payers pay money to the European Union who in turn give the bike factory manager a grant to move the factory to Slovakia because the wages are cheaper.

The bike factory shuts down and all the workers get laid off .

Good for the bike shop owner but I can't see how that would benefit anyone else, he could even stop paying tax into the UK if it's registered and based abroad.

I see that you didnt challenge my notion that a supranational organisation paying grants to businesses to move these businesses to a different country isn't capitalism as you claimed. Does that mean you accept I am right about that? If not, can you explain why I am wrong?

Nope I'm just going to sit tight. Deal or no deal NI will be under EU regulations come the new year, they're finishing off the border posts at the ports.

you'd be happy if NI didn't receive anything from the UK government and they had to survive on whatever wealth they could generate themselves?
