While the Bees left it late to wrap up the three points at the City Ground, getting over the line was all that mattered as they bid to remain in the hunt for automatic promotion. Their 11-match unbeaten run has featured six draws, but collecting 21 points at almost two points per game is on par with what second-placed Bournemouth have earned over the course of the season. The short trip to Vicarage Road represents one of their toughest fixtures of the season, although Brentford now possess the second-best away record in the division. please log in to view this image On the flipside, Watford have recorded the most points in home matches since the start of the campaign with 22 coming from just nine fixtures. Their sole defeat in Hertfordshire came as recently as the start of December, but Vladimir Ivic has witnessed his players shake off the setback against Cardiff City with back-to-back wins. Although victories against Rotherham United and Birmingham City did not come as a huge surprise, the results were required to keep Watford in the top six. Ivic continues to come in for his fair share of criticism regarding his team's return in the final third, but there can be few complaints with the club sitting just four points adrift of the leaders. But it’s important first of all to score one, and then to win the game you need to protect your goal.” Watford Championship form: DWDLWW Brentford Championship form: WWWDDW ENJOY THE GAME WHEREVER YOU ARE IN THE WORLD
THanks OFH, was just thinking about writing one. However, your threads are better. Now then, this is an important game. Hopefully, home advantage can count though the Bees will be a tough test. COYH!!!!!
I don't think it makes a difference what we put up Mex, it is the comments from everyone that makes a thread. It certainly will be a tough one, but maybe the thoughts of it being difficult will make us up our game. This is one of the games on live TV, so although the Hive is not available to many of us, there should be a stream somewhere.
It will be interesting to see how both teams approach this. Will Brentford take the front foot because their away record is so good? They must be confident that they can prevent us from scoring, especially if Sarr is out and we only play with one up top. Alternatively they may decide to sit back and score on the break because they feel confident about preventing us from scoring. If it is the first option do we have a back five? If the second do we play 442? The Brentford fans are not happy with the type of football that they are playing even though Ivan Toney has scored 15 goals. The rest of the team has scored 12. Brentford away - p9 w5 d2 l2 f14 a7 Watford home - p9 w7 d1 l1 f18 a8 Predicting this one is impossible. It could be a very good game or it could be awful again. I find it hard to imagine that it will only have one goal though.
I'm hoping for an entertaining game. Brentford play football so I think that will allow us to perform. Hoping for a good home win from my seat in the Rookery! I was lucky in the ballot and this may be the last game with a crowd this year so let's have a good one!
Got Covid... Probably getting too close to the cycling Gk! Seems Brentford have never won at the Vic.. Might have to perform well to keep that record up.
Maybe, we will see, Sarr will find a bit more space as Brentford are a more attacking side than some who have put defending first.
Evening all. Interesting challenge this, will we defend because of Brentford's scoring record this season, I suspect so but the bench is loaded with forwards so we may go for it later on? I have this stream running but it's showing EPL stuff at the mo. http://www.mamahd.live/link.php?asa...idget.com/freelivematch/8443662954443830.html Alternatives always welcome.
