We have Paul Robinson, probably the worst LB ever to always start in the Premier League.

Oh heck forgot about Babayoro <yikes>.

Two defenders who made Titus Bramble look like Bobby Moore.

What an insult to replace Olly Bernard with that horrific footballer.

I know, Souness told Bernard he wasn't good enough.

    He also sold Hughes.. <doh>

Who CURRENTLY is playing for Fulham(injured now) but always a starter at RB for them. Consistent, reliable, solid and rarely gets injured. He would be excellent cover to our defence and he's defensively better than Simpson. <ok>

Oh heck now there's a clogger if ever I've come across one. You've just got to hope the mackems, Blackburn or someone decide to appoint Megson.

I do miss Aaron Hughes. He still talks highly of us and his time here.

Small correction, but he typically plays CB for them

Narh, sometimes but recenetly it's been Baird or Senderous partnering him(Hangeland) and he's quite solid at RB to be honest. That's were he mostly played for us when we reached the top four and played in Europe. So consistent and reliable! <ok>

I guess since they let Pantsil go and Baird's stepped up they moved him out there, but I completely agree, he's such a solid defender that you can count on. Hangeland is the big body and scores goals, but Aaron gets the job done week in, week out.

Love Aaron Hughes. Most consistent, underrated player in the Premier League

Definitely - has really developed into a stalwart for Fulham alongside Hangeland - I rate him pretty high too.

Thought Babayoro looked quite good in his first game for us. First and last time though.

Hughes was a big fans favourite when he was here, I think he used to drink with a lot of them quite often.

Doesn't work like that for me. Cahill has still been playing well. Defending is about the whole team. Unfortunately after a tough run of games Boltons confidence is down a little. Cahill has been awesome for England, dropping him would be wrong. He scored the opening goal last time. You can't have a merry go round for me, you get so little time with players as it is. As I say Taylor needs to do it over a long period and hope for either an injury, a poor game for England or significant drop in form at club level. None of the three has happened so he's quite rightly on the outside looking in. He just needs to take his chance when it comes along.

I'd like to think if he carries on this form he might get a look in for the next friendlies, but I personally agree that a knee jerk dropping of Cahill would be daft for what could be the last meaningful qualifier.

Yeah, reliable is the word. Would probably be our captain if he was still here

I'd be inclined to think if that was the case Capello would definitely pick him...
