I've been listening to TalkSport all day today, and they kept mentioning Sean O'Driscoll is expected to be appointed as the new Bristol City manager, and that Dave Jones will be appointed the new Forest manager. They didn't say what their source was, or the reason for why they are reporting on these two appointments, they just kept saying it during updates with the rest of the sports news, must have said it 5 or 6 times. They also reported saying that apparently Curbishly will never take a championship club on to manage as he considers himself a "top flight manager" and is keen to apply for the England role after the Euros! No sources from them though, just wondering if anyone else had heard this???
I would be disappointed if SOD was appointed, dont get me wrong i think he is a good manager, but at this moment in time we need somebody who can get us wins ASAP!
And he was on mine along with Steve Cotterill, but it appears SOD ran out of ideas at Donny Rovers. Having said that only the very very best managers are ever going to have 5 years or more at any one club in one stretch and that fact alone eliminates the vast majority and labels them as failures....
Sean O'driscall would be a great appointment! he done a fantastic job at donny, got them promoted to the Championship and kept them up year after year on a shoe string budget to say the least! that can only continue for so long, if their board had abit more money, donny would probably find themselfs in the play offs now for example... theres only so far a manager can take a certain club, even a top manager like O'driscall!
Not my choice but I recognise SOD as a manager with ability - he got the sack at Donny for (having to) play the tea lady in goal...
