What do you make of Chevely Park sending all their top NH horses to Ireland? Do they simply rate Elliot and Mullins above any of the English trainers or is there more to it? The amount of money bankrolling Elliot and Mullins is frightening. At least JP tries to spread it around a bit.

You just have to look at their results to say that they are doing the best thing for their business model. In the UK they’ve got one with Tizzard but not seen any others. To be fair if you were asked who you would send a top NH horse to, I think you would probably come up with one of the big Irish yards.

I think Nicholls apart (I think Henderson is about to go on a massive decline) we are struggling in the UK to get those big owners, you’ve got good solid owners in the UK but how many are able to compete at the premier sales?

Nicholls has Stewart Family, Sullivan horses, Barber/Mason/Fergie & Johnny de la Hay

    Tizzard has Brocade Racing

Then you’ve got the Potters, Ruckers and others who spend money but not consistently on the top quality horses coming out of Irish points and France.

The only one who competes is JP and he sends his horses to the UK very seldomly as stores or Irish p2p horses (unless sold in the UK).
