Reallly difficult when confidence is so low to just attack and try to win by 3 or 4. Because the confidence is that low, the natural thing is to restrict yourself back to holding on.

On the plus side, we held on - that, for me, is a big plus from last night. We didn't capitulate and concede in the last 10

    Shakespeare could have written..

For want of a striker, the team could not score, for want of a score a game was lost, for too many games lost a club was relegated....

Pretty sure he meant that in the sense that under pp we would have capitulated and the fact we didn't is a good sign

I think it's obvious that what we want is a team that is on the front foot for 90 minutes, but that's never going to happen every game so it's important to have enough character to be able to weather the storm when needed

If we can clear out some of our substandard players will the quote become to buy or not to buy that is the question . Hopefully players who can score goals .

That wasn't the point I was making at all. There is a positive to be taken from holding on where we have failed. As a "glass half full" man, I take that positive. I guess Your glass is obviously half empty if you don't see it as I do

edit... seen that you edited your post sorry

Shame that Embleton wasn't given a go. Hope Johnson doesn't just bomb him out.

Same with Neil he has so far been overlooked yet pre season he was outstanding, LJ has a reputation for bringing on players and the way we are picking up injuries and the mixed bag in the final third, both will get their chance, and hopefully take it.

I'm hoping it's just a case that he's just finding his feet with a squad and they'll get a chance (fingers crossed) Spoken to my Bristol mate and he says he will give the youngsters a chance if he thinks they're worthy

Embletons injuries may mean we are nursing him back. I would be disappointed if he wasnt invoved more in the coming months.
