I didn’t think it was a penalty anyway, just a coming together.

    Definitely.

Spending 24 hours top was great. But Chelsea are not our rivals this season.

Mount. Siggy. James. They're all good, but none are JWP.

That’s a very good win for Everton.

And a bad result for us, despite the fact we can go 3rd tomorrow.

Nah. If we win tomorrow and then Brighton can do us a favour - then it's been a great weekend and the rest of the season can take care of itself.

I’m very confident we will outperform Everton, Newcastle, West Ham, and so on this season. The more points the teams above us drop, the more chance of an outlier getting into the top 4 or 5, and it might as well be us.

I fancy Palace to get something against Spuds with Zaha back and firing too.

Leicester was only four years ago, take each match as it comes and see where it takes us.

If we go above Chelsea tomorrow, same amount of games played, then will Klopp make us favourites for the title like he did them?

Loving the positivity. I believe this will be a strange season and anything is possible. I think you can still get 4/6 on us finishing top ten. That has to be value. Personally, I think we will be way higher

Amazing that we are even competing with Everton when their owner has already pumped £100m in over the last year, with plans for him to invest a further £50 this season.

I know there is of course the "better the devil you know" side of ownership and that it is great that Gao allows Martin/Ralph the power to make almost all decisions - but just imagine what our current board/manager set up could achieve with half decent investment.

You say that brendy and I don't necessarily disagree, you are the voice of reason but if we beat Sheffield United then over the course of 2020 we will have 53 points from 30 games, the exact same as Chelsea. We have gone toe to toe with them through the whole of the year. Who is to say that can't continue?

Most of the matches played in 2020 have been in lockdown conditions where the form of many clubs has been disappointing. I would have to say that Saint's results are "realistic" and a measure of genuine progress. I feel that some other teams' results are distorted due to the lack of fans and maybe a little unreal. The likes of Everton, Man Utd, Man CIty, Arsenal, Sheffield Utd, etc should have been performing better. It is will be interesting to see how results change once stadia become full. It is a bit of an enigma. I love the fact that top teams are under-performing (how satisfying is it to see Arsenal in the bottom half of the table?) but it is disappointing that fans cannot attend the matches during a season where unpredictability is making the league table more compelling.
