They can try it but it'll only get them so far, can see more than a few cards and penalties given away if they're banking on that.
Today got my Christmas present early from Santa. Excellent performance but hopefully this is making a big statement for the rest of the season! Don't know much about Johnson but the little I have seen there is an air of arrogance. I believe you need this because looking at the great managers of today and past they all had it. It's a great opportunity with a great club, great fan base to take him to another level as a manager. All he needs to do now is to make it work. Over to you Lee.....good luck lad!!!!!
Irrespective of scoreline these are the types of performances that gets bums on seats at the stadium. Imagine if it was a home game next week and fans were back, place would be bouncing. I was craving being back under Parky never mind now!
Anyone for some highlights https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/12159385/lincoln-0-4-sunderland
Correct. Situational irony I believe they call it. Old Will Shakespear was a dab hand at describing it!
That was an excellent performance. I enjoyed the will to win the ball back, I enjoyed the will to try and score another. I enjoyed seeing players play to their ability and not being stifled. It won’t always work out for us but it will this season. Well done
This guy seriously speaks so well https://www.sunderlandecho.com/spor...n-city-win-and-has-sunderland-vow-3066077?amp
Thanks LL Cool J & team. It is ****ing years since I've felt this good about a performance and result.
The pressing and the winning ball back deep inside Lincoln's half was a joy to see. So was the passing and the possession. But there's no takeover and Lee Johnson is an uninspiring, Stewart Donald appointment. Aye, righto.
Hate to piss on chips but we had a very good performance against tranmere which resulted in a 5-0 win a few games into Parkinson!! That said, we didn’t play anywhere near as well that day as we did today. There’s a lot of positives to be taken from today. The post match where he said about the lads being a little complacent as we were winning 4-0. Up to now, he’s perfect!!
Feels good because it's not just a great one off result it's a change of mindset that you can tell we're going to really enjoy. Not going to win every game obviously but I can see us having a real go at every match if that's how we play away against one of the best sides in the league.
