This is bang on! It’s the whole Pep factor. When teams come to play City, they literally allow them to become mechanical as Pep wants. I personally don’t enjoy watching City for that reason. There is no soul in the way Pep instruments his methods.

We've played really well, passed the ball around well... but as soon as we get to the final third there are very few options.

That was a boring half of football.

That’s because we are always too narrow through the middle. Everything has to go through there and never exploiting the flanks. It means everything breaks down if it is not a counter attack.

One shot on target in that half.

We get a lot of free headers too from corners but we don’t have players to put the ball on target.

Not really mate, I think it's more the case Rashford is being drawn out wide or Greenwood is coming deeper. I don't think it's about going central or wide as we are doing both but we just don't have numbers up front when we get into their half.

Our midfield look too cautious most of the time, they seem more concerned about not giving away possession rather than creating anything for the front two.

The flanks are wide open most of the time but no one there to stretch City’s defenders.

I disagree with this as well <laugh>

The front two is usually a front one... who is often way outnumbered by 4 defenders.

IMO we're doing very well in midfield but that's because that's where Ole has put the emphasis. The question is, do we risk taking away from that to bring on someone who will add numbers up front?

We could bring Cavani on and take Fred or McTominay off, bringing Fernandes back into midfield.

Does that expose the centre of defence though?

Personally I'd take the risk, doubt Ole will though.

Or bring on Van der Beek and that'll allow him, Fernandes or even Pogba to drive forward.

It is a risk though. I'm wondering whether after the game against Leipzig Ole will consider a clean sheet a success, and the win a bonus.

I'd take Fred and McTominay off myself, and bring on Cavani and DVDB.

Pogba goes back to a number 8 role.

What a ball in from Fernandes. Shame Rashford was offside.

This is ****ing **** now. It's all fine and well setting up to play on the counter but at least HAVE a counter attack to play when we get the ball <doh> <doh>

After 55 mins we just stopped playing.

Too afraid to play the ball forward, just aimlessly passing it across the back until we give the ball away.

And there you are, a typical Ole substitution.

    Like for like, achieves nothing.

    Exactly. Stupid sub.

Pogba is so average as well. If anyone he should go off, he's offered nothing.
