Got to say I think he’s a better fit than Hume at left back now with mcgeady back Denver’s got a huge job getting his place back

Looks decent but hume is the better player for me. He was at fault today for the one on one with the keeper

I think Hume looks good at LWB but crap at defending in LB and I wouldn't necessarily just put Hume straight back in.

Don’t think it was his fault we left him one v one at the back, good distribution from their goalkeeper. We should’ve left 2 defenders at the back

If LJ is gonna do 4 at the back I think mcfadzean is the better defender, which could be a good 3 for that left hand side even embleton can play on the left

Agree that Mcfadzean should stay in but also agree that Hume will improve. I hope we are not tempted to sell Hume believing that we are now covered. That would have happened without the takeover. Or whatever it is that is hopefully happening.

It’s called competition for places, and is what we need to keep everyone on their toes.

Hume is better going forward (apart from the final ball) macfadzean looks more solid but unspectacular. 50/50 fo me

    Just imagine this scenario:-
Next season, in the campionship, after a superb second half in the previous.
A front three of Curry up front,
    Diamond on the right and
a year older & stronger Hume on left as an out & out wide attacker (allowing McGeady to make cameo appearences).
bit of a daydream possibly - but would scare the sh:te out of a lot of defenders. :1980_boogie_down:

At least its great for a change to be able to have a conversation about two players who both aren't absolutely inadequate :)

To be fair to Hume he’s had a pretty decent season, maybe LJ can have the same influence on him as he has on Diamond.
The early signs are promising though.

    I did like him
And think he will be great competition for Hume
However he was not at his best today
    Either or for me

Tbf, we don’t know what the new gaffer will get out of Hume. If the improvements today happen across the squad, Hume may well get his place back.

You say that, but we had numerous players in the box moving for the ball yesterday. Hume has had one striker hiding from the ball to cross to all season!

Very good left back in fairness at this level. I’d be tempted to keep him in and move Denver further up.

Good to have competition for places both solid for this league imo.
