Don’t think we can say we missed our big signings, one only made his debut last week, the other has been shaky defensively. We’re dire on set pieces every week. What was more alarming was two weeks on the trot we were largely shut down offensively - looked one/paced, no tempo and out of ideas long before the end. Looked a bit knackered to be honest.
Pretty much agree with most, I thought Phillips was 7 Bamford 6 Bamford just can’t head a ball... Although neither scored I’d swap Bamford for Benrahma in the blink of an eye. I was amazed at how poor Costa was when he came on, I think we need to go Poveda and Raphinha next game.

My main concern is that in both of Bielsa previous seasons we have started to really drop points around Christmas time. Is this the start of another blip?

Commentary team said at the start that it was only the second time this season West Ham have played a back 4 they usually go three at the back, touched on Bielsa giving early team news, did that have an impact on Moyes selection. Bielsa has been in charge of more Leeds games than he has at any other club (not length, games played).
Evening all. I've only just got in, been working tonight. I heard snippets on 5 live but from what I've read here it sounded like we were poor, lot's of running about without enough end product and undone by 2 set pieces. My biggest worry is that they know how to play us in the Prem and have the quality players to do it. Has Bielsa managed a team in such a top quality league before? Pep uses a similar approach and has been undone even though he has quality through the team. Worrying times.
