As I've said many times, if this board is about anything of any consequence, it's about three things: insider news, commentary and debate. Some would put wumming in there somewhere - but going, 'ner-ner, we've got a better [whatever] than you' is little more than a mindless by-product imo. Nothing wrong then with one of us generating the interest and energy for debate with a controversial opener - which is what Sideshow Bob has done here. Credit to him, the standard of responses has shot through the roof in this thread. Distinct absence of lazy one-liners. All in all a great read. On balance, I'm very much a Warnockite. Virtual third into 'comfortable' first within 18 months speaks for itself... and on a minimum spend too! Who else (other than Paul Lambert maybe) could have done that for us? Whilst I too regard Warnock's decisions and tactics with a certain amount of scepticism at times, I'm aware that I haven't a clue what's been occuring back stage but whilst the overview's fine (which it is), I'm cool. So has Warnock got what it takes? Jury's still out at this level but I for one am more than content to back him all the way to triumph or disaster.
On the contrary, I think it's you that's missing the point of discussion boards like this. One gag to rule them all. I find it interesting yes and it seems many other people do too, whether or not you personally do is your choice. You clearly explained that in your opinion there is harm in opinions of this type. My opinion is you must live in a pretty idealistic and sheltered environment to think like this. There are far more damaging things written in the press on a daily/weekly basis. As for Barton, I've too heard several things about his ''sharp tongue'' around the training pitch. Bleating on about how much you earn is indicative of the type of behaviour I outlined in the OP. Yes I criticised for bringing off Derry when he was quoted as being ''worried about the defence'' as he's our best and only natural defensive midfielder. That makeshift defence needed all the protection it could get in the second half too and for me, that means Derry in front of them. Taking off Barton would have been a better bet imo as he had done very little up until that point. We looked worse in the second half than the first and far more exposed. So i think it was a bad decision and that's that, my view on it. While I appreciate the temptation to condescend some people, it's really not a nice trait., so I'll ignore your ''you should realise this is football and results don’t always work out like that '' section, thanks for the pointer though! Why debate on a discussion board?! Sounds like madness to me! Let's all share the exact same views as everyone else and skip along merrily! Hurrah! But if someone doesn't agree with us, lets question whether they are as dedicated a fan as we are. You're really in no position to tell me what I should be doing before I post, or think about posting. If you don't like it, don't read it and respond to it, it's a pretty simple format here. I feel I've justified my criticisms just fine and for the most part, apart from that last paragraph, without sounding like the Fuhrer.
Bob you call it right just ignore some of these on here seems some is still celebrating winning the championship , i would like to see him gone before he cause any more embarrasment to our club he cannot cut it in the premiership something we saw when at united all this laughing about and full of himself he cant believe his luck but i am calling for him to go and now . Flavio was right about seeking another tactical manager after last season , tony & amit needs to solve this problem or it would be back to the championship .
"Go and now"?! What do you expect from a Manager? NW has saved us from relegation, made us Champions, and now we are 11th in the PL after 7 games - all in about 18 months. Did you expect top 4 at this point with our Squad, and if not, sack the Manager! Get real.
No, you are right North. Wrong focus. What's wrong with the full-stops then Swords? It's all the holes around them that screwed me up.
True mate, Del Boy's schooling mustn't have been up to much. And you don't learn punctuation flogging hooky watches and blow-up dolls down the market either. Oi Del Boy, Rodders is on here somewhere too if ye can find him.
Ha absolutely brilliant. Very satisfying that I can now no longer have to point out the holes in your arguments. Your sidestepping has resulted in sidestepping into an absolute schoolboy Silent Bob and to a lesser extent QPAAAAGH and QPR12thman can have a look at Godwins law. It's official you lose: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin's_law
Delboy, thats a big call. Its not that long ago that we were setting new records for the amount of managers a club had in a week, month and year. NW is undoubtedly a very good manager. Nobody can question what he has done for us. Regardless of what happens this year he will always be regarded as a legend by QPR fans, or at least he should be. IN saying that, I'm not so sure about his ability at this level though. Its only my opinion and of course many won't agree with me. I am not calling for NW out. Of course i want him to succeed because if he is successful then we will be successful and nothing else matters. Some people forget that this site is here to allow people to air their views and opinions. If you dont agree with something that is written then thats fine but people should not be criticized for giving an opinion or simply asking a question. NW must be given every chance to prove any doubters he has, that he is capable. However he is not bigger than our club. Nobody should be. Give him time and lets hope he gets it right.
Seven games isn't alot before sacking the manager. How long do we give Megson when he replaces Warnock? Six?
NW was born in Sheffield which is only 65 miles from Hull. Time Team recently did the geophysics in that area and it has been proven that there exists a tunnel between the two cities ... In short both cities may now be contaminated as many carny from Hull were found to be nicking cutlery throughout the last century and the mystery on how Hull was supporting itself solved. If NW starts to falter then its clear that he could be from Hull which of course changes everything. Sorry but if this is found to be the case then only one outcome can be sort:
We won't get Megson Tooting. The FA are pulling out all the stops to try and woo him for the England job.
Wow that's very interesting. So true and there's actually a name for it?! Don't think this is about winning and losing. Are you feeling a tad insecure? Btw, I'm not a warnock hater at all. But I do think he's just used up the first of his nine lives.
Its not like you to get ratty with someone North (that's QPranger100's job), you don't seem yourself on this thread.
