Nope it's not fatasy at all.

The provision for FPP to effectively take ownership of the club, is in the agreement. Depending on what they are still owed, they could see it as being more bother than it is worth to take the club on.

Never dismiss administration as fantasy, one wrong turn in business can have you on the verge of it.

Mr 74%, without a white knight is perfectly capable of this.

It is fantasy. FPP and FPP only can put us into administration and that would never happen as it makes absolutely zero business sense

Read the above, rather than keep shouting.

While it is very unlikely, it is not impossible.

I'm sure many of the clubs in the list attached may have thought along your lines.

FPP wouldn’t take us into administration. That would just be writing off their £9m investment.

at the worst they’d sell the club for £5m say and only take a £4m hit.

What happened to the bit of a buzz that was on here last week? Parkinson was gone, Speakman had come in and it looked like Johnson was front runner for the managers job. Now we've all heard what both the new guys have had to say and we all liked what we heard. Ok so maybe the announcement hasn't come as quick as we want but just look at facts from the last few years - There's no way Donald and Methven would have restructured the club as it's been shown. God for a good few weeks we've been without a chairman, an academy manager as well as kids coaches. Now after all that, does anyone actually think Donald had anything to do with this new set up? We just have to be patient, Christ that should be something we should be good at!

I wonder if the current owners would repay some of the money they are no longer obliged to if we were at risk of Adminsitration?

Again fella, all could depend on what FPP would still be owed at the time it happened.

FWIW, I'm happy enough with having them as a "safety net" as things stand.

I've been directly involved in quite a few company CVA's, administrations, takeovers and mergers over the past 30 odd years.

We may as well drop the administration discussion. We are nowhere near it. Let’s park the takeover for one second and assume it’s never happening.

If we were about to enter administration, we wouldn’t sack a manager and his team who are long term contracts and appoint a new person with remit to appoint more new people to build a new structure.

yes but it’s their modus operandi to buy undervalued assets and sell for more. Getting the club for less than £9m is their dream scenario. They’re not the type to write off assets when they don’t need to.

of course it’s possible. And of course they could. But doing so would be against everything they stand for and seek to do.

He could easily be acting under the direction of the new owners. Picture the scene...
"OK Stewart, you can keep a 15% shareholding for now and we'll buy it off you at a premium later, but you're not just going to sit there and do nothing. You're going to have to work for it if you want your premium, so until this takeover is signed off, you'll be acting on our say so, like any employee. Talk to the new manager on our behalf. And there's an EFL meeting we want you to attend on our behalf, make sure you don't screw up and lose us bail out money."

Exactly, these clubs voted to end the season as they couldn’t afford to play half a dozen games behind closed doors. How many have the played now?

Exactly, clearly just a bit of bluff to get a better deal. Fair play to him as clubs in this league have shafted us more than once.

This article will no doubt have the keyboard warriors and anti Madrox crew out in force.

I can only speak for myself but the involvement of SD in LJ's recruitment is a concern. We all thought the new head coach and new DOF were brought in by the new owners in waiting but it appears SD is right there calling all the shots but with a bit extra investment behind him.

To be fair I think he’s trying to get more money out of the premier league clubs for the EFL clubs rather than more money for Sunderland from the other league one clubs.

Possibly, whatever he's doing is absolute common sense in business terms..... i.e. give us more or we're screwed ;-)

It has to look like sd made the management decision, if it didn’t Parkinson would have a case to sue the club like Colman did
