That's fair. Believe me. I have always been known to be a negative critical fan. Always. My tone is not like that at the moment. There is a reason for that.
Its just an owner dialling into a meeting about the club he currently owns trying to get a better bail out deal like
Agree. I would be surpsied if we get to Monday / Tuesday without a statement of some sort. Clarification needed.
as always that’s music to my ears and that continued optimism is pretty much the only thing keeping me this side of sane
While it's a very headline grabbing little article, what SD says, if the new fella and JS were not willing to take us on, would lead us into the path of FPP, Then it would be up to them what happened.
If it didn’t look like Donald sacked Parkinson and hired his successor the club could be in for a law suit like it was under Colman, any club hiring new staff and creating new positions isn’t a club looking at administration, and even if it was FPP get the bail in, also if Donald can’t afford to keep the club float ( he can’t) where has the money come from to sack Parkinson and hire 2 new people with another 2 incoming ????
This is so true. I don't get it, anyone with a bit of sense can see that there has been a change in mood over the past week or so. Things are happening behind the scenes for the better and to pick out negative aspects and focus on them doesn't make sense to me. It may be hard to accept for some fans but maybe just maybe something good is about to happen to the club for the first time in years
My take is that it’s all done except Dreyfus being ratified at the EFL. Once that is done there will be an announcement.
Either way its an article we can do without while worried folk are all waiting on the never ending takeover.
Errrm it really could, if there were not the French lad and JS looking to take over. The provision to convert the loan into share capital by FPP is contained in the loan agreement, in case of default. That my friend, is fact not fantasy.
We cannot go into administration unless FPP put us into it which lets be honest would never happen so aye it is fantasy stuff
I think it needs to be appreciated that there are genuine worries for many supporters. On one hand we are hearing that SD has nothing to do with the day to day running of the club and is just binding time until he sells off some of his shares. The next we hear is he has spent at least one long conversation with LJ and is now quoted as representing the club at an EFL meeting. Compare that with what Nick Barnes was fed in July/August about a complete takeover with SD having zero involvement whatsoever. Maybe not just me but I think there are concerns that the supporters are being taken for a ride and in effect SD is still pulling the strings and always will be despite new investment coming in. Does anyone trust anything SD says or 'leaks' as he fancies to suit his own position. Obviously things have changed and new investment of some kind has already been made hence the recruitment of Speakman and more to follow but only confirmation of an ownership change will alleviate many supporters concerns and real fears.
I have no problem with Donald going into battle to try and get them best deal possible from a bailout - the clubs in this league have ****ed us over with not been prepared to finish last season and the farcical salary cap. If it means he has to paint a black picture then so be it. Yes he it is a benefit for him but we also have to consider that this money could keep non-playing staff in employment.
Was just thinking the same myself. That loan made us one of the safest clubs around when it comes to administration, didn't it?
