Think the tree had AIDS so I took the axe to it. Gonna go get another one this afternoon.

    Can never be too careful.

Ok make it a fun family activity/challenge then, get that Xmas spirit back again.

Whoever steals the biggest tree wins, bonus points for stealing an already decorated one from someone's house.

Selfie of contestant and the tree in someone's house will be needed to verify.

So after careful thought, I’m actually going to erect an Xmas tree up in my Christian free living room on Sunday.

I have no decorations or lights, going all natural. May put some candles in it like the olden days, like the days @brb and @Archers Road probably remember.

It's not a memory I had, but now you've mentioned it, and thinking back, you are probably right.

Don't put candles on a tree ffs. There was a lot of fires in the olden days, that's why we now have electricity

We had a coal fire and no central heating when I was a kid. Recently i asked my dad if there was any other heating in the house, and he said there was a paraffin heater on the upstairs landing, which would probably be a totally illegal fire hazard now. Must have stank too, but I don't remember that.

No double glazing either, was ****ing cold a lot of the time when I was a kid. True story btw.
