Just drinking a great pale ale called pale fire by Pressure Drop.

See it, buy it and drink it. I doubt you will be disappointed if you like a pale ale.

Meanwhile, slightly off topic I know, but we're playing Sheffield United I think soon ..

That night in Sheffield when they knocked out Koeman's team still rankles. That's not because we didn't deserve to lose, but because we did. It was a classic example of a so-called big team (yes, us) thinking they had it won before kick-off. I like Sheffield as a City, and have friends there who are Blades fans. I hope they survive, although it is looking doubtful. But I want any revival to start next week. I want Saints to prove to me that their life-long habit of playing like a bunch of twats whenever the team is starting to look OK has gone. That was the joy of last Monday at Brighton, another game the cocky-git teams would have lost. Now let's **** on the bastards below us, please (sorry friends!).

Yes remember it well. I’d managed to “arrange” a business trip “up tut north” & a Premier Inn stay. Arrived in time for a few pre match beers (I’m always late for away games, so that was a big bonus) and really thought we could, even “should”, do it! I remember Bedders having an absolute standout mare but really whole team were crap. We were awful; shambles. Such a let down. Wasn’t first, definitely not the last but I’m again on the “hope train”. Let’s see.

Hour ahead here in The Hague I'll be drinking a Palm beer or two during the game as the lamb roast cooks.

Ive just realised that if Saints pick up the same quantity of points for the next 21 games at the same rate they'll Have 68! oh lord has that put a jinx on them?

Beddy maths on the abacus again?...:emoticon-0110-tongu

Try finish on 69 at the same rate from 27 games which would've been third place last season.

Personally I’d rather discard the first 2 games of the season as that was our preseason, so in realty we have 20 points from 9 games. Continuing that for the remaining 27 games puts us on 80 points, which would have still been 3rd last season but only a point behind City. :D

Going to be serious...because teasing Beddy on maths is like shooting fish in a barrel (still fun, but let's save for another day:emoticon-0100-smile)......I'm expecting a decent season overall, but I doubt we will do as well in the rest of the season as we have done so far

Oh, and by the way: if you haven’t listened to the latest Total Saints Podcast yet, you probably aren’t aware that 2020, despite all its other shortcomings, has been Southampton FC’s most successful calendar year ever. That’s irrespective of what happens in the rest of December.

It being in the PL/top division makes it the most successful by default I would think.

It's truley incredible what Ralph has achieved. How many players has he transformed for us? He alone too is getting the value on the pitch and also In the transfer market when we do sell our best assets.

That's bonkers tbh. We have such an average PL team and very little quality depth. Not trying to hate on our players but more just to highlight once again what an incredible job Ralph is doing here with limited resources.

The one thing I do wonder is whether there are clubs looking at Ralph and thinking that if he can make a silk purse from a sow's ear, how might he do if we gave him a silk farm? Worrying. I need more Leffe Blond to keep my nerves in check (back on topic and hope Mods didn't notice)
