There’s a balance here tho between those that are very much in the “relax” camp, those that are in the “told you so” camp, and those in the middle that are understandably concerned - that after thinking the deal was agreed and with the EFL, after a quieter period on the takeover front a journalist who has been mostly right about the takeover has said they’re still discussing the ownership split. I have complete and utter respect for Prehab, and completely understand and agree with his “relax”message, and understand why he might not be able / willing to post more. But it’s understandable to be concerned by this morning’s news when it’s coming during a period of “wait and see”.
the people who think it is happening are ridiculed and told they know nowt, yet the people who are adamant it’s not happening think they know. Mental.
There is no news this morning, other than a nixon tweet, and his whole twitter is just vague guess work. You just have to read his replies to questions about various clubs
Most of his replies don’t even answer questions people throw at him, just generic responses you can literally answer to anything
In my humble opinion I believe that there may be a delay as the new people negotiate to take SD out of the picture and purchase his remaining shares and give the majority of fans a great Xmas present . Just my little wish
Okay well even if his tweet is written off as guesswork, he's the only journalist, local or national, who's had anything to say on the progress of the takeover in quite a while. Now we all hope that's because its with the EFL. But its natural to be concerned if the only stuff coming out contradicts that, even if its guesswork. Could really do with some more snippets from jouranlists that push the optimism meter back in the right direction. I still maintain that the takeover is clearly planned to be happening - hence all the changes in structure etc. But nothing is final until its announced, and frankly the structure of KLD owning just 40% of the club when he's the money makes little sense anyway.
He also ignores a lot of questions. He only answers questions he wants to. If he's completely guessing and its imminent when he's the only person saying it's not imminent then he'd look silly - better for him to keep quiet. This is different to the Cowley situation when he was heavy favourite and Nixon's tweets about him being for a reason were vague. In this tweet he explicitly states something is happening (a renegotiation).
Like I've said though - this could end up being excellent news. I'm sure the EFL checks can go on for KLD irrespective of how much percentage he gets. If he's now essentially offering Methven and Donald more money to take more of their shares now than in the future to give the clean break the collective fanbase have been quite clear in wanting, then its pretty much the dream scenario.
I know bugger all. But if it is the case that a manager has been sacked, a new one brought in by a newly appointed DOF, with other changes underway, and that these changes are in part at least funded by a new man, I would have thought that he would know by now what he owned, especially when dealing with a man with a reputation like Donald who, as my old man would have said, " could get under a snakes belly with a top hat on"
They seem entrenched in negativity, which suggests to me that they are Sunderland supporters of long standing who have become irreparably damaged by years of disappointments and false dawns. We should be kind to them, humour them for there, but for the grace of KLD, go we....
Here's a confirmation of errrmmmm........... nothing really! https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/s...Kj4VIDYzZWD6pHlNBH9Y4I7JnDmtJZq-HPNJHAHxpr5GY
A lot of them aren't that long standing mate.....they wouldn't know Johnny Crossan if he bit them on the arse.
I think the rough timeframe prehab gave would ‘expire’ on Tuesday, still a few days to go before then so staying relaxed, and if nothings came out after then I’ll just go over the road and slag him off no biggy
