Spurs and Arsenal are bigger clubs than Chelsea. Just look over the history and attnds, West Ham have loads of fans but i agree you have many plastics out west but i am talking about fans not some 'Jonny come success'.
I have sat in my local with many saying they are Chelsea fans but half have never been to more that 2 games.
You are not a Manu, Liverpool,Asenal,Spurs so don't try and big it up because you need radio stations to sell your tickets and don't always sell out your champs league games. didn't even sell out at Bolton last week, (what were all those empty seats in the top tier)? Go away and bore a Fulham fan

I don't dislike Rangers at all; in fact I used to go for nothing in the 80s as schools in H&F used to get free tickets.

A lot of my best mates are Rangers. And they like a bit of banter. Although they were touchy about Fulham on Sunday night down the pub.

Football got popular again after Italia 90 not 2004; and attendances rose steeply in the mid90s.

My tickets are on their way (I work for a living) but disppointingly I think they are R block. I wanted to check out the X Block Bwad Bwoys...

My company (Evening Standard) has a box in the South Africa road stand but looks like no chance there. Got two tickets in the Chelsea end at 7.08 Monday morn too.

Left my iPhone, iPad and PC logged into my CFC account overnight to get first dibs on members' allocation. Works every time. Don't tell anyone else my trick.

Ellers: see you at the Crown & Sceptre before the match and the Bushranger (or whatever it is called) after and then Defectors Weld and Ginglik.

You took 6,000 to Stamford Bridge in what was your biggest game in over a decade.

And i thought the 8000 we took to Sheffield Weds in the League One game was more important but then i guess you would know.

I suspect the dark days which you are alluding to happened last year simply because it is a well known fact that Chelsea and Cardiff both have a higher % of numpties than most other clubs (i.e Hooligans). Apart from West Ham, Chelsea had by far the highest number of arrests for home games in the 09/10 season, with Cardiff having by far the highest number of arrests for away games, when two teams meet in a one off match with cheap tickets available, then IMO clashes are sadly inevitable.

See even try to big yourself up again! 80's yes you had thugs but now not even in the same league as a Millwall,West ham and some others.
Saw all you thugs at the cup game. <laugh>

QPR have had years of mediocrity which unfortunately (for them) coincided with the next generation of football fans coming through. The only difference between them and Fulham is just pure luck and timing.

In 2004, Football began to expand hugely worldwide, some clubs were able to take advantage of that because they were in a good position i.e Us. Others weren't.

    best comment you have said.

Ellers: you also took 9000 for a Cup game to Old T. Before your time?

    Arsenal? Yes

    Spurs? No

Most Arsenal fans I know don't go to games, same with Man U and Liverpool.

I don't mind you sharing your opinion if you were to give valid reasons as to why you believe they are bigger, but simply stating attendances and history is myopic.

Chelsea have the 5th highest average attendance of all time. We had over 82,000 at the Bridge before for a league game. It is a well known fact that in the 80s only United and Liverpool had a larger away following than us.

Even as recently as this season and last, we took 3,700 to Old Trafford on a midweek night, that was only to members and STH's. Spurs had their game at OT on general sale and only just managed to take 1,700.

I don't know what your problem with Chelsea is, but you can't seem to see the reality. I was actually enjoying this debate so it's a shame you have told me to "Go away" simply for putting up a case.

If you are talking about the 2-0 (Irwin, Sharpe) Fa cup game that i was at, i thought we only took 7000. I was on one of the 21 coaches that left Loftus Rd.

You probably didn't fill your end then. We took 9000 to United for a Cup game late 80s/early 90s. You used to be allocated up to 25 per cent of the ground.

Ellers; you were obsessed with where I am sitting Oct 23, 4pm. But now you've gone all quiet since I've answered.

If England reach the WCF I won't be able to see straight whatever stand I am in by 4pm. 10 pints and a ticket down by then!

We took 6k to old Trafford for a silly Worthless cup match midweek so on you method we are bigger than you?
Great you got 82K for a one off game but what about average attds before Roman? Reckon Spurs beat you hands down and they don't need radio stations to sell their tickets either.

Anyway you are a Chelsea fan so i can see you need to try and 'big it up' because Arsenal get 60K gates Spurs and West Ham even QPR are looking to get bigger grounds. You don't have the thugs anymore and even little QPR can come on your patch and take over. You feel left out you spent all that money and haven't even won the Champs League. You wasted £50m on Torres and you lost Jose.
TBH your club is what is wrong with modern football. Like your owner your club is built on sand. 'Flash harry' with a bit of cash. He is trying to turn lidl into Harrods and it won't work. You are not and never will be a Liverpool, Manu, Arsenal or Spurs. They are proper teams/clubs and sadly Chelsea is not.
I am happy with the 16K gates at QPR because i know they are proper fans from a proper club. Rather be that than some plastic mutton dressed as lamb club.
    Cheers

'We took 6k to old Trafford for a silly Worthless cup match midweek'

We took 9,000 to Old T for Worthless cup match midweek in Jan 2005. For Carling Cup games you get more tickets.

For Champions League games you are only allocated 5 per cent, which we filled...3,700. Next

As you can see our attendances before RA were higher than Spurs.

    Next stupid question please? <ok>

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2011/oct/05/bbc-mulls-departure-white-city

According to the Guardian the BBC are going to sell the offices where I work and "has been in talks with both Queen's Park Rangers and Chelsea football club about the clubs moving to the site. Chelsea in particular is looking to develop a larger stadium in the west London area."

If the BBC sell the office where I work, and which is right opposite QPR, to Chelsea, I'll be frigging furious!
