Birmingham v Watford Ivic has yet to win over fans and although we sit in 3rd in the table performances haven't been inspiring to say the least. Watford's home and away form is nearly as divisive as Marmite: Home Played 9 W 7 D 1 L 1 F 18 A 8 GD +10 Away Played 8 W 1 D 5 L 2 F 3 A 4 GD -1 Basically, we've won once away all season and only scored 3. It seems that Watford will have more players to choose from, with Ivic likely to make some changes. One person who will want to play is Deeney as he is such a Birmingham fan he evern has their logo tattooed on his leg. With Karanka in charge of Birmingham don´t expect sparks to fly as he is very much in the pragmatic mould of Ivic. I'd be putting my money on a massive 0-0 or sc(b)ore draw. Nevertheless, the beauty of football is that you never know. ENJOY THE GAME ¡¡COYH COYH COYH!!
https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/18935747.will-hughes-ready-start-watford-birmingham-city/ Has some injury / team news. Basically, Hughes, Capoue and maybe even Gray are now "available" though by Ivic's not rushing back standards maybe they will all be on the bench. Cathcart is hamstrung still.
We also have the human lamppost that is Sierralta - could have done with his height against Cardiff really.
The first shot on target will be in the 73rd minute which will be easily gathered by the Blues keeper. Birmingham will have their first effort on target in the 92nd minute - a tame header that Foster catches. The biggest excitement will be in the 58th minute when a water bottle rolls onto the pitch and the linesman kicks it away. The highlights of the match will show the players entering the pitch then leaving it. There you go, Yorkie.
Brilliant description.. I felt every moment of it... Riveting.. And the slo mo of the bottle was so goooood...
“We have to find a balance, but we need to remember the league isn't decided in December. We were seventh at this stage of the season when we got promoted in 2014/15. We need to keep grinding it out. There are going to be some good games and some bad games, but all that matters is we keep collecting points and getting the job done. We haven't had the full squad available yet, so let's give the gaffer a break and get everyone back and go from there. It doesn't matter if we beat Rotherham 1-0, 2-0 or 7-0. It's a win. The job is done and we move onto the next one. The league is relentless and we have to be, too.” ️ The skipper never holds back. Hear more from Deeney in Saturday’s Hive Live.
Strange team selection. Perica and Sarr (injured) out plus Kabasele. So basically only Deeney as an attacking player?
No Hughes!!! still and Gray on the bench....really sorry, but he should have been kicked out of the club!!
Looks like another match where we practise passing the ball sideways and backwards in our own half, I should have checked the team sheet before parting with £10. Lets hope there is something to cheer. COYH.
