He was voted in. There are elections due next May where but I think he's trying to have them pushed back for 6 months, The election will be the first time 16 and 17-year-olds are able to vote , and we know why that's been brought in to shore up the declining labour vote , kids are great idealists with little life experiences so everything should be free to all.

It's ludicrous that under 18s can vote, for exactly the reasons you stated. It's like Drakeford's trying to out-idiot Boris... and succeeding.

Matthew, I have had a Mobliity Scooter in my garage for the last 13years, since my Sister in Law passed away.
I must admit that I have been tempted to use it since I smashed my hip 3 years ago but decided against it,. It is still in good condition , but I think it is better all round if I keep on trying to use my own legs, muscles in my legs keep in trim..................... The nurses tried to persuade me to get a chair stair lift,, as I had to stop every two steps for a rest, I did not fancy that, and just kept practising , but they still got a hand rail installed, which has been worth the world, and now I am able to climb the length of the stairs without stopping , being one step at a time.
I was not being tight or mean with my money, I had plenty of money to afford stair lift and Scooter, but a bit of pride came into it, and I did not fancy neighbours seeing me go up and down the road. .."...........False Pride ! ! !

@Victor - I used to have the pride thing when I was younger, don't do it! You're only hurting yourself. These days I couldn't give a toss what anyone else thinks, I do what I need to for myself.

It's admirable you're keeping active and that's essential also :emoticon-0137-clapp Just don't take it too far. If you really struggle with something then use an aid and take some help. No shame in that <ok> If you do plan to use the scooter then check the battery first, it will definitely need charging or the battery replacing.

Totally agree with you Victor keeping mobile and active is the way to go , my mum's philosophy (who's 90 next month) is to keep active and to keep pushing herself , admittedly she's slowed down some but still would put some younger than her to shame. She bought one of these machines
and I've tried it . whether its psychological or not its certainly made a difference to my flexibility ,it takes a bit of getting used to as it can feel uncomfortable at first as it sends electrical impulses through the limbs or you can localise where you want it to work by applying pads . Its not cheap but what is these days.

Interesting fact for you , the land speed record for a motorised scooter is 112 mph .Go on you know you want to <laugh>
