David Dimbleby rates the current government as the worst in his lifetime, or words to that effect. https://fb.watch/2cVOXnrb9Q/
Dangling this in front of Mrs Jab hoping it'll end up in my Christmas stocking. Pity the campaign didn't influence enough of the electorate to avoid the bollocks going on now. https://uk.bookshop.org/books/led-b...CpDQ3fr71q0DyLVUJv1_mPvTHsoLMQp0VE_H6pzXJPWSM
I had a call from an agency for a short term contract here in the Netherlands. It didn't quite suit me and was asked if I could refer anyone and said, besides some Dutch engineers, I had friends in the UK qualified for the job. Due to the unresolved brexit negotiations the situation regarding work and residence permits, the health insurance i.e. EHIC status UK applicants aren't being considered no matter how well suited to the positions.
Remember "Operation Fear"? Well it turns out everything they said was true and now we are well and truly ****ed.
This is just the start. How many more people will miss out on jobs abroad because of Brexit, is anyone’s guess.
Not just a start St B it's ongoing and increasing. Not just engineering, it's across the board, all professions and trades. There's also the young unable to start or possibly continue Eurasmus courses, the list goes on.
Looks like we will know soon who will be president. Texas has a suit at the Supreme Court (packed with trumpies) to change the vote in four states. This should be the final straw or the nail in our coffin.
It has zero chance of succeeding, even with the current makeup of SCOTUS. Trump has lost, the results have been certified, and nothing will change that. The same might not be said the next time they attempt this, however.
SCOTUS has now lolno'd the first application for injunctive relief, and will presumably do the same with the others.
Sir Jim Ratliff Ineos’ founder, whose wealth is estimated at £12bn, officially moved his tax residence from Britain to Monaco earlier this year.
What a ****ing triumph. There are only two reasons for Johnson dashing across the water. 1. To take the glory, should a deal be agreed, no matter how bad it is. Or 2. So he can blame the EU for his failings. I was half listening to the news, earlier, and I think I heard Johnson say something about the EU “punishing” the UK. This will probably lead on the front pages of the right wing papers, if we end up with No Deal. It will be the fault of those pesky foreigners.
