Neil Lennon will soon be sacked in Scotland, with Martin O'Neill or Roy Keane being shouted about a lot. In England it's hard to say, but Wilder is the most obvious candidate, not that it will do them much good. They're just not very good. Burnley have Arsenal and then Villa, if they lose those two I could see them getting rid of Dyche to be honest.
I would say Arteta is most at risk of the PL managers although suspect that the Saudi owners of Sheff Utd will be pretty ruthless with Wilder, despite what he has achieved over the last few seasons. Dyche will be safe, although if the takeover goes through, maybe things will change. Knowing Burnley the new owner will be the local butchers who will stick with him and put him on a pork sausages for wins bonus.
Who are Dyce and Brice? If they are a law firm we could hire them to fight the PL. If they are managers, would they be worth a shot to replace Bruce?
Lennon out of that list. He is literally on borrowed time. I think he would like to get to the end of the season, win the league and walk away. I don't think he'll get that luxury now Rangers have opened a gap. If they sack Dyche based on what's he's done there, the board will be a laughing stock. Wilder likewise. Arteta I assume will be given some time to get it right, and I think he will. He seems to know what is wrong - they're a set of pussies. No doubt though he will need to get a couple of victories soon just to stop the noise. Personally I think Scott Parker is only ever a couple of defeats away from a sacking with that owner. He's ****ing nuts.
Arteta is getting this proper weird pass from everyone tbh and its odd I think it reflects peoples opinions on them tbh, they're just not contenders anymore.
I don't think they'd panic like that. I reckon he will get a fair bit of rope. He should of course get that rope but it is highly unusual these days. Like life in general the PL management regime has a throwaway culture. Typically the way he has them performing this season would see a sacking. Mind keeping it realistic also, they're only 5 points off 6th. The league is a bit misleading at present. 6 points covers 6th-15th. I can't believe we aren't in the Fulham etc mix. Incredible given how **** we've been.
Arsenal have been absolutely dog tho They're below us and look fortunate to be there tbh any other season they'd be relegation scrapping
I think he has set off on a certain route, which is married with his personal beliefs on how the game should be played. That will take a little while to embed. Pep had a similar issue initially at Man C. He wouldn't have the players available that Pep did to mask it a bit. I assume they will give Arteta 2-3 full seasons or I can't see why they've gone that route? You'd have been better going for a ruthless Jose type who would just run the players into the ground for 3 seasons, build nothing for the long term, winning trophies, then falling out with everyone and moving on There's only really Chelsea where Jose left any kind of legacy you'd say.
He is trying to change them completely, it'll take time. Is Ozil still there? What must he be costing them to not play? I completely agree with the premise of him being worthless if you want to press the ball. I just would have thought they'd have found a way to offload him or loan him out to free up huge funds. Mind they have enough to be doing far better than Arteta is. Like I say though a quick run of good results would see them back hovering beneath the top guns. Likely that's where they will end up in reality. I think they are on the right route, but you rarely get time now so it will be interesting to see if they have the courage in their conviction to stick with him.
