If anyone that matters actually come onto these forums(i.e. people who make the decisions at Arsenal)..... I hear players generally do not read the papers, I wonder if Wenger, the Arsenal Board are aware of fans views. I think the danger of following a global(ish) team is that they lose sight of the grassroot fan base.
I doubt very much if anyone from AFC comes on here.I suspose the club are aware of fans views from hearing the fans at games
I believe they or at least a PR/Communications department do read blogs. One of the blogs commenting on player transfers and wages was contacted fairly swiftly by Arsenal to set the record straight.....
From hearing the fans views at the games, don't think they hear anything at games.... well nothing constructive as what goes on forums or blogs.... To be honest, I do not think the fans are as important to the game as it was 20years ago..... I wonder why.
I don't think leading clubs are as dependent on their fans in the way that clubs were in days gone by. It's a bit like in F1 where Bernie Ecclestone has taken the sport to a new fanbase and commercialised F1 beyond it's dreams of even 20 yrs ago.
I hope Wenger reads Arseblog at least sometimes ( He does not of course). I find it quite balanced and representative of what many fans think. As for our forums, I hope nobody reads them apart from us AFC junkies.
