<laugh> yes you're right it is a political salute and the authorities should stamp it out. Imagine a player doing a seig heil salute. I'd ban any religious gestures too, because as an Atheist I find it offensive.:)

Your having a Giraffe Shaks, the English FA pull the player for giving the Black Power salute, they havent got balls to do it. Oh how would that scouse Gypo (Egyptian) Salah, Sterling and more do then when he is praying to Hallah before each match.
We shall be put in tier two on the 16th for the Xmas period i am betting, hence 2,000 in LS11, wonder if the faithful will also boo the kneel down?? they have my backing anyway.

As I mentioned before and not afraid to admit it I have leanings to the left but not to the extreme. That doesn't make me a snowflake but I try and have a balanced view. I abhor racism and prejudice of any form and agree that the issue of racism does need a vehicle to raise the profile and look for solutions.

I believe that games should remain non-political but that doesn't mean that the FA can ignore the issue of racism in the game. Taking the knee as a gesture of support was a good thing but it has run its course in my view and continuing with it is becoming counter productive as demonstrated by Millwall fans. I suspect there are many more fans who will react in this way in the coming weeks or at least sympathise with Millwall. As I say this is counter productive for the cause and deflects the focus away from the issue at hand. It also doesn't do the club any favours at all and impacts their reputation although in Millwalls case that won't take much.

In summary I don't want to see the kneeling continuing at games but a clear agenda from the FA to address racism needs to be put in place to reflect the feeling shown by the kneeling to date.

Well said Norm... it's the whole BLM as a slogan or BLM the organisation thing. Most have empathy with the concept but a lot have issues with BLM as an entity. Irrespective of that, it's gone on too long and is just a hollow gesture where people are afraid to stand up to it (literally) for fear of getting labelled, unfairly in my opinion.

Said this before but I'd rather all the clubs got behind the far less divisive, 'No Room for Racism' campaign and had a local program of inclusivity and awareness around racism (i'm sure this does happen to varying degrees, i wouldn't know) - where something positive might actually get done, rather than have an increasingly empty gesture of taking the knee because they feel they have to

Getting back to football I notice there are loads of footy pundits ripping into Poveda for not going down. So let me get this right, these tv celebs like Noel Whelan, Danny Murphy kicking Poveda for not cheating, you couldn't make this up.

I doubt they will Infidel, hope they do, but it'll just give the bias left wing sky bastards more ammo. What those dumb sky z list ex football punters should realise, is that the booing wasn't against blacks, it was against the political subversive organisation the blm.<ok>

The sooner we get fans back into grounds the sooner this rubbish will end, then just watch all the various commentators jump on the band wagon as they say taking the knee as run its course.
I've come to the conclusion that most of these commentators know fk all about football and even less about human nature.
I'm fed up of being told what to do and what to think.

It's as bad as Bielsa gifting Villa a goal.<ok>

That will/may not be seen again........ if there were honourable Managers out there, which there isn't, there would be goals given back every week, Pogba's goal , ball was out of play prior to him scoring, that toss pot at Villa who begged for us to let them score at our place, the goal that Sheff Utd. scored against Villa and would have relegated them where they belong, again no chance. We can go on about being honest, Poveda for instance, 99% of them over paid prema donnas would of gone down when he was kicked in the box, and so it goes on.........i'll leave it there i am getting wound up here, going for a walk.

What our media fail to realise is that football is basically a working mans sport especially in the north just like Rugby League. The working classes have spent their hard earned coin on supporting football in this country and so football fans should be allowed to tell the politicians and FA to leave wokery out of our game.

politicians and media in this country project their own woke views n the rest of us and have managed to get every election wrong for years. The working classes voted tory because of brexit and the working classes dont like BLM and about time our media sorted their own game and the BBC are losing viewers and license fees daily. Nobody watches the woke ****

I knew there was a reason I had no time for Tyler Roberts, hes been on Instagram and slagged off Milwall fans. They never learn these ruch boys do they. Lineker lost over half his fans simply for being on twitter virtue signalling, Gary Neville having a go at the government and brexit. prof Cox calling all brexiteers racist. Celebs should stick to their jobs and Roberts will do himself no favours over this. Now someone doing it the right way is Marcus Rashford and I respect that, but he never gets involved in anything other than his charity.

hoping the club reign in Roberts before it gets out of hand. Remember also that Roberts backed up Kiko, so racism is ok if it suits

Colchester United: Fans who boo taking the knee 'not welcome' at club
Colchester United chairman Robbie Cowling has taken a stance after a minority of the 1,000 fans in attendance booed when players took the knee before Saturday's home win against Grimsby Town.

In a powerful and heartfelt statement Cowling explained why players take the knee for racial inequality, encouraged supporters to applaud the gesture and says fans who boo are "not welcome" at the club.

He has offered to give refunds to season ticket holders who feel they cannot attend games because of their feelings about the gesture.

"It would be very disappointing if anyone does decide to boo again," he said.

Afternoon all...

Against Chelsea we were simply outclassed but the good thing about the defeat is it doesn’t mean anything, we’re not plunged into the relegation zone and there is no promotion pressure to worry about, we dust ourselves down and go again.

BLM I watched the England vs France game 1/3 of the English never took the knee the entire French team remained stood. I listened to Jeremy Vine on the way home driving today. Any Millwall fan with a good point was cut short, anyone playing the it was racist thugs card got air time, disgraceful

You could raise a beer instead. Nobody has ever read a bad intention into it <cheers>

Since BLM got associated with Antifa, surely they must have lost a lot of support. Trump publicly said Antifa were a designated terrorist organisation. In the States, BLM has been going for 3 or 4 years. There are loads of youtube videos showing this.

The Police out there dont help themselves. Id wager that if the British Police were allowed to use the guns, they would attempt to shoot to injure. The police dont stop firing until they are out of annunition, and if one fires, they all fire!!!

You must log in or register to see media

This was from a couple of months ago. The guy was shot approximately 50 times
