After a recent golf game me and the lads were having a chat and the topic got round to Conspiracy Theories. I have to admit that the discussion degenerated a fair bit as we were in the bar for a good 4 hours after the game and trust me we weren't drinking orange juice.

So...the question is, Do any of you subscribe to any of these theories be it JFK, The recent US elections, Marilyn Monroe, Roswell or pretty much anything.

There was a heated debate about 911. One guy insists that it was a huge government set up...not sure myself, but his argument was interesting.

I'll throw your opinions into the mix at the weekend...we love a good debate when p issed

The bigger the conspiracy theory the more complex it has to be. The more complex it has to be the more things can go wrong. The more things that can go wrong, the more likely that things will go wrong. In short, they’re all a load of bollocks.

The vast majority can be be debunked with minimal research. One of the downsides of the rise of social media is that it has given a platform to all kinds of loons to spread their ****e..

I actually agree with both of you...I really don't do 99% of these theories,
but there are a couple that I'm not so sure about.

After the weekend, I did a little research on JFK, and the guy who brought it up....I think..has a great point. There is also the case of Jimmy Hoffa (American Union leader) Not sure if there are more conspiracy theories or cover -ups... one and the same I guess

It depends on the conspiracy theory I think. The JFK stuff is believable. The Philadelphia Experiment, microchips in the Covid vaccine, the illuminati, that qanon stuff- all sound like nonsense.

On my conspiracy scale, the official explanation for Kennedy's head turning into red mist is right at the top while the earth being flat is so crackers, it doesn't even make the bottom of the scale. I'd also say there are a lot of conspiracies go on every day that have varying degrees of impact but that doesn't mean everything is.

I did have an idea for a web site called Voyage to the Ice Wall for the flat earthers. Ask for donations for an expidition to the ice wall that surrounds the ocean and offer all donors entrance into a raffle that allowed a couple of them a place and make it a condition that all donations are non-refundable in the event of not being able to find anyone to actually take us there. Do a you tube channel, build relations with all the other flat earther channel's, go on all the crazy forums and link the place. I genuinely wonder how many folk who claim flat earth would actually give some dollar for that.

The pyramids. Clearly the work of aliens.

Not the hundreds of thousands of slaves who died building them.

disco that is what i have said aliens must have been here and built them pyramids etc where did all those blocks come from and how did they cut them ?, and the great wall maybe. Danny graham said he has come here to score goals yet there is something fishy about that.

I'm sceptical about the moon landings. I find it difficult to believe that in 1969 it would have been possible. Although I suppose we could have fired some blokes towards the moon, it its getting them back off the thing that baffles me.

I'd say one big failing of some of the conspiracy stuff is lumping everything in together. Just because someone who was a mason was involved in a conspiracy does not mean all masonic lodges are involved in conspiracies. Licio Gelli is a canny example of this, invoved in an attempted coup in Italy in 1970 and member of Propaganda Due. Can go down a few rabbit holes with this lad.

Not prepared to have an in depth argument with anyone about it. I havnt enough knowledge on the subject to warrant it. Not interested enough in it to back up my view.

I don’t believe any conspiracy theories.
I know for a fact that they are all spread by a cabal of shape shifting *****philes who seek to rule the world by spreading misinformation.
    I’m not falling for that.

There is one conspiracy theory site that makes this look plausible. It is Donald Trump's twitter.. And sadly there are loads of thick headed gullible Americans that have donated a fortune to his so called legal fund to fight election fraud, even though it is written in the small print that the money will be used to pay off his election campaign debts..
