Funny you should say that. Just putting the dishwasher on for the night and I pressed 'start'. Mrs No7 shouted out "You've forgotten the spoon" (she just made a tea). "It's ok darling, I'll wash it manually"
Lawrenson - who mentions the 9-0 in his second sentence - predicts 2-0 to Brighton. It’s in the bag I reckon.
For me, we need some good omens. For some reason No.7, l am a bit worried about this game. Probably because we have dropped 5 points from winning positions in our last 2 games, although against two good teams.
If it helps, not only did I empty the dishwasher before the kettle boiled and put it all away, I even made myself a double espresso from the Nespresso machine in that time. 3-0 Saints.
I didn't register his 'opponent' this week but did note that she predicts a win for Brighton based on her startling observation that Brighton is a seaside resort (as evidenced by the presence of a beach and pier) whereas ****ty Southampton is a port (evidenced by the absence of both). The intellectual might of the nation are brought in to keep Lawro on his toes. My prediction: Pierhead 0 Grotty Dry Dock 2
Southampton used to have a pier. One with a dancehall. Anyone else remember Sunday night at the Mecca, Under 16s disco?
I thought is was Mondays, I remember the plastic palm trees, mirror ball lighting and dancing to Evelyn Champagne King and Edwin Starr...glory days!
Good work TIO#7, I'm sure Ralph and the squad appreciate your effort. Our match kit laid out, Palm beer and Hoegaarden Wit on the way.
With Coronation Street (Mrs Badger rules) being at crucial stage, it looks like I will be watching the first half hour of this match via Sky Go, which is about 1 minute behind “proper” Sky. So I will be celebrating our goals a little later than many of you.
Just stay away from the forum as we all combust after Danny Ings scores his 3rd goal and his signing of a new contract during the celebration.
"they've got a longer stretch of sea front with a proper promenade and pier to get their aerobic exercise in beforehand. It's great for running or roller-blading, which would add a bit of fun to training. 1-0" Reminds me of another prediction with a fanciful scene please log in to view this image
On a couple of occasions we would build a bonfire on Weston Shore, and sit round it all night playing guitars. Like a **** version of a California beach party. The refinery looked nice at night though.
To be fair to Brighton, they did finally get their new stadium, and good luck to them. Pompey will be buried under a glacier during the next ice age, before they get theirs.
