A PL or CL title would feel like a fight against adversity, regardless of how we played. Whilst we haven't won a League Cup or an FA Cup, it's the kind of thing that clubs at our level pick up from time to time.

For the day-to-day, what kept me happy whilst paying massively inflated ticket prices was knowing that we'd go toe-to-toe with anyone we played, and watching us progress as a squad. Jol, Redknapp and Pochettino all ticked that box for me and all had their time. Under Jose I'm just not that arsed to go back.

I know you can make hypotheticals that guarantee a trophy but the reality is you're guaranteed nothing in football so I'd always prefer football that's fun to watch.

    Agreed.

But it's depressing to know we have neither eye candy football or results. At least you have one.

Pff. What the actual **** is up with our club.

Yeah but you lot won the FA Cup which would make a lot of our fans jealous. We somehow don't even win trophies when we play nice football AND get results :D

This. It’s not pretty bar the stunning goals but we’ve all seen Spurs play nice pretty football and be nice guys but ultimately win nothing.

This squad and manager seem hungry to win things which I’m all for.

I’d happily see dire football if the results are good.

Meanwhile here's Harry's, with a choice of French or Korean commentary

    Obviously not.
We tried and failed for a few years.
We are now trying the Mourinho way. If it succeeds , I will be happy.

Shortly (about 3 seconds) after the ball hits the net, you can hear a Korean voice say...

    "What the ****?"

    Quite so, sir.

    As for Bale.

I believe he is a 'flair' player- not suited to these type of games where we need 'graft' players.

    His time will come.

Has anyone suggested that DT might have an anger problem?

Arsenal beat City in the FA Cup semi final and Chelsea in the Final doing a very similar thing.
    Screenshot_20201206-204904_Chrome.jpg
29% possession and 4 attempts v City for which Arsenal and Arteta were praised.

    Screenshot_20201206-204644_Chrome.jpg
40% in the final and 3 attempts on target.

It's farcical that these results were used by pundits and the media to argue that Arteta had improved Arsenal and moving them forward up until 6 or 7 games ago.

Not a dig at you yet the way...I will take this if we win trophies.
I loved the football under poch but it didn't bring any trophies. If we are to keep Kane and Son etc we need trophies. And 12 years is a very long time to wait, especially after coming so close....2 league Cup finals, 1 semi final, 4 fa cup semi finals, CL final and league runners up...would be great to get over the finishing line!

A deserved loss from a toothless display that lacked any cutting edge or inspiration. I did tell you guys that we would lose and we played exactly how I expected us to.

You’re beating us more often than not these days, which is really difficult to accept. However, it’s not like you’ve not deserved the right to win these games. You’re the better team most of the time and that’s what infuriates me.

You scored two very good goals, but from my point of view, I think our defending was poor for both of them. We just kept backing off and no-one was willing to close down the spaces.

Ultimately, you have a lot of quality players over the pitch and a potent attacking force that can win you games even if you don’t play well. We lack quality everywhere and it shows. There is a vast difference between us that I don’t see being closed soon.

A thoroughly depressing day. The rest of the season won’t be any better.

I watched Spurs many seasons. We'd play great football then let the Blackpool's and the Bolton's beat us.That's why we screwed up many a season.
