You clearly didn't read or understand the graphics in that article. More whites than blacks? Yes. More whites in the population than blacks? Yes again .

Between 2015-2020, 33 blacks per million shot dead by police, 25 hispanic per million, 13 white per million.

I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make with this, 27% of those shot were black, 13% of the population are black, so your twice as likely to be shot by the police if you’re black.

You may want to check out the colour of the Officers, if the claim is racism. :emoticon-0105-wink:

And the ratio of white:black cops in the USA is 5:1.

Quite a few posters on here have very little knowledge of the past, recent and current history of racism in the USA. The BLM campaign is justified, however it was most recently re-triggered. The support by professional footballers is highly commendable. It's great to see solidarity on the field. They are not being forced to do it, most genuinely subscribe to the cause.

There appears to be a lot of thinly disguised hatred and intolerence being exhibited on this thread. Much disrespect too.
    Shame.

So lots of whites get killed by police, less blacks get killed empirically.

If the various police forces in the US were as racist are they are depicted, I wouldn't expect to see the stats on that graphic.

You can extrapolate what you want from stats like these..

What does policing in the US have to do with English football?

It's called solidarity. Not part in your world it seems. Sad.

FFS - it's related to intolerence & racism. Isn't it obvious? :headbang:

Are you able to share a list of causes or countries with which English football should show solidarity at games each week?

I'm in solidarity with lots of areas, including South African farmers. Whatever is or isn't going on in America, has sweet **** all to do with football in Britain. It's creating divides that simply aren't needed, and the message isn't about whatever is or isn't happening across the pond, it is being associated with the UK, and by a political movement that cannot get electoral support, so is therefore not something supported by most people here.

I'm all in favour of genuine, anti-racist measures, but this simply isn't an effective one, and is in most respects, counter productive to that goal.

I wonder if we will see a gesture of solidarity with people in Honkers slowly getting the democracy and autonomy squeezed out of them by Peking?

Or would it upset sellers of TV rights to China?

Think you’re wrong with your last lines there.
    It’s unnecessary
Les Ferdinand called for it to be ended in September as it was meaningless
They’re all too **** scared to stop it tho now as they’re terrified of been seen to be racist if they do
And really they are being forced to do it
And do you really think the likes of jackgrealish give a **** about it?

What's that got to do with the price of bread. The pro English football fraternity are doing it now for a least one cause ( in two different ways), so that's a start. You prove me a list of causes you think may be eligible, and I'll comment.

If you were a black footballer getting stopped in his Bentley every other week, you might think the issue was rather more local.

It might well be a meritocracy but that's irrelevant and it doesn't stop racist behaviour no matter how rich you are. And who's lumped it on the industry? Seems to me the industry has taken to it voluntarily.

It's recognised that the action is creating divide rather than resolving differences. They only people that would want it to continue would be those intent on inflaming a race war.

When do you think this taking a knee will stop?

What will be the event or signal to end it?
