It won't surprise you to know that I disagree - This is exactly the game you need, a match with history like few others where form goes out the window and its all about the performance on the day. You have plenty of 'big game' players with a history of turning up against us. We are quite up and down good matches (even good halfs) mixed with some very average and very poor ones, I am Brians & Colins camp and would not be at all surprised to see you win 1-0 with goal from Willian.
Any body going today ? Watching the chavs v Leeds game yesterday the TV picked up the fans screaming like a bunch of Bay City Rollers fans every time Leeds got near the ball , suggest that you smoke 40 captain full strength and knock back 1/2 bottle of navy rum to beef up the vocal chords before the game COYS
Spurs currently being the only amateur club in a season to win the FA cup is something to be proud of. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_(association_football)#England A gap of 60 odd years between Spurs doing the double and the predecessor. Since then the pattern has been about once a decade, apart from the mid 90s to 2001 were Man Utd and the Goons were miles apart from the rest.
Looks like I'm going to have to change my predicted team as currently it looks like Hugo Lloris will be able to start today's north London derby. Tweeted by Ali Gold https://twitter.com/AlasdairGold
What’s happened to Tanguy? Tbf GLC will bring some proper edge to this game so while it’s a loss not to have Tanguy on the ball for this one, the fire of the Argentinian should get this sparking. Needs to be a big game from him though. Good to have both Kane and Hugo after their scares during the last few days.
I like Lo Celso and think that we will play a different style to that we use with Ndombele, which may suit us in this fixture. I am concerned that he won't go the distance and that we only have Winks as alternative on the bench which will be ok if we are winning, but if we are chasing the game finishing with a midfield of Winks, Sissoko and Hojbjerg is not very inspiring.
I am a bundle of nervous energy now - is any one confident we will win? I am not sure that we have been bigger favourites in this fixture in the premier league era, a situation that seldom plays out well in the case of Spurs. I am please so many of the 'injury doubts' are starting, I just hope that they are all fit enough for the battle that lies ahead. This is a going to be a long 90 minutes lets hope we are all here celebrating and looking forward to seeing our Arsenal supporting colleagues in the morning - I have my doubts C O Y S
Lo Celso really needs a big performance today. He was turd midweek and he hasn’t hit the same form as the second half of last season where he was brilliant. Tanguy has a minor problem apparently, if only we didn’t stupidly overplay a bunch of key players midweek (who probably had half an eye on today hence the gash performance) instead of utilising the squad...
I love this ****. My favourite game of the year so wouldn’t say I’m nervous, just excited. Obviously that can turn really sour if we lose though. Wouldn't say I’m confident of a win but I feel like we have to expect it considering we have home advantage. Form goes out the window though in this as we all know so **** knows what’s gonna happen. Hojbjerg vs Partey is going to be a key battle. The latter is a phenomenal player whereas Hojbjerg has been brilliant for us.
Just as concerning is their team. Partey starting Strong front three in Laca, Auba and Willian. Bellerin and Tierney as FB's They have a strong team out. I fear we have lost this.
