I have only seen their first goal and too say it was gifted wrapped is an understatement.
Next week - hopefully the training includes; closing down, tackling, preventing the opposing players from shooting.

It is so disappointing to see goals conceded at this level which just shouldn't.
We don't need a centre back, we need someone that can grab the games by the scruff of its neck and prevent things like this happening. I know that MW has a very restrictive budget due to the FFP (strangely this only affects QPR and not others) but he does need to spend money on a spine for this team. We do have some good young players but boy are we crying out for a leader in the middle of the park. I do like nice football, pass and move but I also understand the need for a long ball or a crunching tackle.

Anyway, Dion Dublin has pinched Brains from Thunderbirds’ oversized spectacles and is wearing them on Final Score. Or perhaps they belonged to Joe 90. Interesting look, and enough to distract me from listening.

Terrible performance. Only positive was we didnt concede again 2nd half, but then Huddersfield were comfortable up 2,-0, and us hardly threatening anything. Ball improved us a bit, but mostly we were second to everything in midfield, unable to create anything when we did get the ball, and with nothing up front, apart from rare runs from BOS, who I thought let their LB run free for their 2nd goal. Only 1 successfully cross from 11 attempted.

I agree with those that believe it’s too early to give him the chop. He’s done a [decent] job with the resources available, but I personally don’t think he’ll be able to do any better than he’s doing right now. I think we bought pretty well over the summer under the circumstances, so it must be something to do with the coaching.

There are a number of managers around that know how to win games at this level... I just don’t think Warbo is one of ‘em.

I also wonder whether the BOS situation - will he sign / won't he sign could be affecting the team. He is no Eze - someone who could conjure something out of nothing but has the potential to do this. However he needs to be playing regularly and I think needs that "Wilkins" type player around him. He is still a player that should cost someone millions if they want to sign him but right now I would say make your mind up. Sign and together we can get somewhere or say I want to go so that MW can drop you in the reserves and we can start to blood in your replacement.
Additionally I have to remember that we have only had some of these players for 16 games (some have played a lot of these, some havent) and maybe they are still getting to know each others games.

Some of those that came in the summer havent really shown much yet. Thomas perhaps due injury, and Bonne don't really look good enough at this level to me, and I'm not convinced by Dykes.

Freed from the shackles of our 5km travel limits under lockdown we went out for lunch and had by the sound of things a far more enjoyable time than following the football..... I see we lost, quelle surprise ah well on to Tuesday or Wednesday or whatever day of the week we're playing....

In the face of a lot that has been said I think we do have a clutch of good players in this division. However, I am certainly feeling that MW is struggling to get: a good enough performances from these players to impact games positively; a consistent performance and outcomes from players that get points from games; any defensive confidence and solidity from the defensive group; any decent dead ball play that creates opportunities or goals.
    It’s not pretty reading.
I feel very uncomfortable about talking about another manager change and really am not sure which is the right course of action right now for the club.

I think that Dykes will score goals for us. It's just we need to give him the right kind of service. I remember when Bannister (showing my age) played for us, I lost count the number of times the ball was played to him in the air when Simon Stainrod should have been the target man.

Warburton’s main problem seems to be his inability to motivate players/teams.
The defence should have been sorted at the beginning of the season, instead too much time and effort was spent on midfield and yet this is also a very week area. Of course there are the “ones for the future” who probably didn’t expect to be playing in league 1 a year after signing.
We need a motivator. Please find one quickly.

It does seem that he is struggling to motivate them, especially when things start going wrong in games.
I've just listened to his post match interview and it's just the same old ****.
If that's how he is with the players it's no wonder he can't motivate them.
    He's like a wet weekend.

I know we can't know what goes on behind the scenes and the term "he's lost the dressing room" is often bandied around, but I do wonder.

He needs help, it's obvious to see. Is he too stuborn to see that, or does our financial situation preclude us from bringing someone else in as assistant?

I think he may be incredibly stubborn like many coaches.

MW is very good at the attacking side of the game (not today, of course), but is deficient with defensive tactics. Sir Les, as Dof, should see this and employ a coach who can teach them the basics of defending.
    No ****ing ****, Sherlock!

Year after year, we are stuck in mid table positions. We never seem to achieve anything.

Other teams, like Stoke ( who l detest ) .... can somehow go from almost being relegated last season, to now sit in 5th place.

    They are achieving.
    We are not.

We never seem to be anything but a rebuilding team, whose main aim it seems, to be collating and coaching players to sell.

As a fan, our management have failed us.

Installing a Hive camera so half listened to 5 Live. Rapidly lost interest sadly and busy under floor boards anyway.

Keep coming back to the appalling fact that Toney cost more than the QPR team he was playing against.

Can a master violinist get a £50 violin sound like a Stradavarius or does a poor workman blame his tools?

Yet another season where the best we can hope for is not to get relegated while Bees will no doubt give it another good go this season.

I'd snatch your hand off for mid table come April.

I suspect that there are coaches out there who could organise us better defensively.
