Is it just me, or have our wingers produced absolutely nowt? Raphinha in particular has been awful tackling back. The classic example was just before the whistle. The guy that got the cross in came from his own half, close to where Raphinha was kipping. When he woke up, the guy had 10 yds on him & the gap got wider. Very, very disappointing. I've also noticed that our opposition half press has been laid aside tonight. Presumably this is planned to fcuk up fat frank's plans?
Meisler needs a good fkg talking to. We need a LB urgently. Dallas to LB, crap in MF. Alioski off Rodrigo on. Harrison off(can fck off back to Citeh) Poveda on and rip them another arsehole.
Not quite at the races first half. Chelsea have pressed well but it's nothing we haven't seen and played through before. A bit of Chelsea playing well and Leeds not quite at it. Too many individual errors. The Meslier pass to Giroud. Everyone playing offside for their goal but Ayling never got the memo. He switched off there. Llorente passing the ball to Werner. Harrison giving the ball away and over hitting crosses. Koch losing his man (yet again) from a corner 2nd minute. Bamford strangely not pressing the centre backs. Klich having to do it. Everything Alioski has done has gone wrong. Hopefully 2nd half we get a bit more quality out of the lads.
I don’t care if Alioski does run his socks off, I don’t care if he puts in 110% he sadly isn’t a good enough LB and he is getting destroyed on the left. Dallas isn’t a central midfield player either. There are games where swapping players around midway through a game works but Raphinha isn’t coping out on the left. Chelsea are the best team I’ve seen us play so far this season. I’d take 1-1 if offered it now.
Evening all. I think Harrison has been poor, Alioski isn't sticking to his job at LB and I think Dallas is struggling. Their FB are keeping our wingers quiet. I just hope Giroud tires but then Abraham comes on. Rodrigo for Harrison
I disagree, need to get Dallas off and Rodrigo on. He is far to slow, he will Get murdered in LB. Harrisson is struggeling a bit, but would keep him on and see if Chelsea will tired in second half
We're still in this game. Its 1-1 lads. Hopefully we can sort out our individual errors second half and start imposing ourselves a bit better. Chelsea might get a bit leggy 2nd half.
Alioski has played well recently but having a shocker. Dallas would imorove us defensively but seems like bielsa doesn’t trust Rodrigo in terms of team duties. Think that’s the change most of us would like to see. Been impressed with Chelsea - more so off the ball than on it. They’ve closed us down really well and caused lots of mistakes, which is where most of the trouble has come from. Disappointing goal, were they playing offside or just ball watching? Whichever they lost their men and they were queuing up to score from a routine cross. Quality of Crossing been the biggest difference between the sides. I guess a reflection of the Calibre of the individuals. Still all to play for.
Seeing the replay of their goal I can't understand why Llorente just stopped when Giroud got in front of him. Others were at fault as well - ball watching rather than player watching. Still a good performance though. Imagine being able to bring a sub on of the quality of Pulisic
