Wilks..... He's toying with the left back, but gotta make more clever decisions, takes some really odd shots at times
When will Wilks start looking up and finding people in better positions than him instead of just going for goal?
We're being 'out-Hull Cityed' by Oxford - they're pressing harder, tackling harder and getting all the iffy decisions from the ref. Second half we need to see the reason why Adelukun is on the pitch and for Wilks to do better than his usual one correct decision in a hundred, we also need to start playing football and carry the ball. It would help if they ran out of a bit of steam too.
I'd personally change centre mid first up, prob Docherty who isn't playing badly but looks a touch leggy after Weds which was his first game for a while. More than anything tho, we just need to keep our heads and be a bit more sensible on the ball
Pretty lackluster half from City - and apart from Docherty the midfield and strikers looking a bit flat footed. I think KLP is a must for second half and, as suggested earlier, Eaves might well replace Magennis.
Not at the races that half, doing to us what we did to Donny. Hopefully they'll run out of steam a bit second half and we can start playing football. Ref's looks to be a bit of a homer and KLP needs to be on for Adelakun imo.
I think credit to them for their press, they haven't so far given us a minute on the ball. Hopefully they can't keep up that intensity for 90 minutes, so here's hoping, as was happening for the last 10 minutes of the half we came more into the game. Adelekun has some nice touches, but just doesn't do enough, I agree we need to bring KLP on who is more direct.
We've got no "craft" in midfield. If we bring Eaves on we'll just go more long ball. Need KLP on and get George on the ball more.
They are closing us down quick, we are playing to many long balls, midfield got to take charge they are running at us better. Awful frustrating half, the few times we have got around their box we haven't done nothing with it. Carry on like that we lose, Get into them at ht and if no response after first ten changes are going to have to be made. KLP would be the first, wingers are there to deliver. Wilks has the beating of their fullback but end product got to be better.
