Talksport reporting that Liverpool are ready to battle Manchester United, AC Milan and Juventus for Borussia Dortmund's 22-year-old midfielder Shinji Kagawa. Heard about this guy last year. Done well in Germany and can score a goal or two from midfield. Would be a useful addition to the squad. Question is does he have ambition? If so take Utd over the rest. If he wishes to be a loser, join Liverpool.
Who was the last player who didnt regret choosing Liverpool over Man Utd when they had such a choice?
Not heard much about this Shinji Kagawa. What are his attributes and skills which would benefit United.
Goal scoring from midfield it seems. Seems a raw talent but has a nice left foot.
Harry Kewell Remember United are in decline and Liverpool are on the up ? Just goes to show how long people have been saying United are in decline for !
Daily Mail is reporting that American Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire are reportedly keen to sign Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand. If true I have mixed feelings on the matter. Yes Rio has been a good player for us over the seasons and I would be a little annoyed to see a quality player go, but he's rarely 100% these days and I wish to God he'd quit England about 2 years ago. He's 33 next month and I understand out of contract at the end of next season. We have Vidic, Jones, Smalling and Evans as our first choice CB's so who knows, Rio could be US bound!
I just pasted this link over in the MLS thread... http://www.theplayersnet.com/chicago-fire-rio-ferdinand-david-beckham-news/ I think it could be a strong possibilty! his fitness is clearly an issue and i think he would have a strong desire to play in the states!
I wouldn't sell Berbatov. We don't need the cash and having him ready to play if needed is better than not having the option. If Rooney plays a bit more in midfield whilst Cleverley gets himself fully fit then having Berbatov to play upfront with Chicarito or Wellbeck is a great option. At a time where we aren't playing well there's a lot to be said for having a fantastic target man up front even if he does slow the play up.
According to Sky Sports: Manchester United have been dealt a blow in the transfer market following the news that the agent of Inter Milan playmaker Wesley Sneijder, 27, reportedly said that his client will see out the winter transfer window in Italy. According to TalkSport: Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov, 30, has emerged as a transfer target for Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala. Finally according to German Bild, Manchester United frontman Mame Biram Diouf, 24, is a target for Hannover 96, with talks reportedly already at an advanced stage between the German club and the player's representatives.
As we are being linked with Ajax's Christian Eriksen, it will be interesting to see how he performs tonight against us. http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereve...tian-eriksen-is-urged-to-wait-on-a-red-switch
Lou Macari. He won a Division 2 winners medal a couple of FA Cups and Chip Shop at Utd when he could have been a European and League Champion if he'd chosen more wisely.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2102271/Mario-Gotze-Manchester-United-join-Arsenal-chase.html Man United have apparently according to the Daily Mail contacted Mario Gotze's agent Dirk Hebel over a move for the Borussia Dortmund midfielder. The agent said 'I think in Europe all the top clubs are interested in Mario. I can confirm that I have had contact with Juventus and Manchester United but not only them. I don't know if he'll go away after this season, you should ask Borussia. But I think that they will not let him leave for less than â¬40m (£33m).' Would be a great addition to the squad but would be too costly in my opinion and it is probably more like the agent trying to inflate the transfer fee for his client.
Read today that we (along with Liverpool) are interested in Athletic Bilbao's Javi Martinez. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896...o-future-premier-league-move-perhaps-english-
