TBF, you did spend a good while saying nothing was happening and claiming anyone who said otherwise was full of it. I'm just glad that something was happening after all and I'm seeing what I consider a long term plan being implemented with the staff appointments we're making. They're about as far away from anything we've done under Don and it's ****ing fantastic. H'way the new overlords with a plan.
Blimey, this is good. Now just for some positive news to come from the boardroom, such as a takeover/new investor on the board and I'm sure fans will be happy.
To be fair, I've had the stuffing knocked out of me over the takeover (especially the Gus fuss) and have reset to thinking we can only surmise, due to the appointment of Speakman, that there is something changing with the club structure and that we don't know the details as yet (apart from maybe various ITKs who do but can't say). Yet even I would go with KLD & El Presidente having a controlling interest over nothing is happening. It's the hope you see. Without that spark of eternal hope in the face of a historical trail of rebuffs, false dawns and dark dismal benighted periods that marks the Sunderland fan. Prophets of doom are only accepted up to a point. You've said your piece and that is enough now. If nothing happens then you can point back and say 'I told you so' and you can feel vindicated, but you'll still be isolated from us glass is half full fans simply because, although we may arrive at the same point in the end, for a while at least we will have enjoyed the journey!
Shrewd move taking charge today. Gives LJ a good chance of getting off to a winning start. I'm convinced that we're going to have a good win today Ha'way the lads!
Wonder if NQD will explain why he said Johnson would run a mile once he talks to the club, when 15 minutes later he was announced as manager. Doubtful.
Well I’ve succumbed, paid my fee and hopefully will see a much better performance than midweek. I wonder how many were like me and paid after waiting to see the team he put out
Good luck to the bloke, hope he makes a total success of the job. Does anyone know if he has brought any staff with him? And who they are if so. Can't see anything mentioned on safc.com
Welcome aboard Lee, lad. Not everyone's pick but it is what it is. 18 month ago he was talk of the town in the EFL. Over achieved with the squad he had and was expected to be in the play offs straight away. The day he was sacked at Bristol, the owner was on talkSPORT and said it was a hard decision but best for all parties as they wanted to go down a different route. Let's see what happens. FTM.
