    I am of course, joking.

However, as a southener (albeit one who doesn't eat entire countries pie quotas and **** a great football club over on a regular basis) I have yet to venture to St.James despite some great and some terrible(4-1 thrashing at villa) away games.

Right, enough rambling, I am due on the 9th of May 2011 to become a man (my 21st incase anyone thought im jewish) and will duly be going to my 'mecca' with friends and family and wondered if anyone had any experience of using any of the hospitality?

I personally think it would be more special to be in with the true fans, again, opinions?

Sorry for an epicly long and ultimately selfish post, lets hope kuqi makes an impact tomorrow, or atleast gives cashley diabetes.

jesus man, is it too much to ask for a locals opinion on a restaurant rather than a generic review site, id happily tell you about good restaurants where i live. nice forum, real hospitable.

Oops. Sorry but I can't help you. Not a local.

That's why I gave you a Google search; albeit in a cheeky fashion.

And to think I gave you some rep... <wah>

Thanks for the help, next time I need some high level tech support I won't fail to contact you for some more nuggets of wisdom.

Gratz for the meaningless arbitrary rep.

There is a lovely little Vietnamese place at the top of the Bigg Market. What type of food are you thinking of?

Vietnamese! Have never tried that, but sounds like my cuppa tea! Anything really, ideally a place with a nice atmosphere, somewhere you could have a nice birthday dinner, nothing too pretentious though!

Lovely Scottish Resturant on Northumberland street I forget what it's called Mc something red and yellow sign can't miss it.

If your after a Ruby Murray then you can't go wrong with the Rupali at the top of the Bigg Market or Akbars has just opened up which is pretty nice and not far from Central Station.

If you want Chinese then just head to Chinatown / Stowell Street two minute walk from the ground

Bigg Market for Indian meals and Stowell Street for Chinese.

Wetherspoon's have a place just across the road from Central Station if you want something basic.

Blackfriars behind the Gate, good english food.

It's well priced lovely grub, and will put most other restaurants in town to shame.

Compared to other good restaurants in the area it is. Its for a "special" occassion right?

Not exactly pushing the boat out really is it?
