He also used the term 'ownership group' the same term Speakman used yesterday....they've clearly been briefed...
Very good decision to take charge today IMO. *Should* be a win for us, and if we do win then he gets off to a brilliant start and looks great. If we don’t win, then I don’t think he can be blamed. Win-Win for Johnson.
Reading between the lines in his statement it sounds like he has been promised some very ambitious plans from the "ownership group"
He’s one of the “ ‘I’ll be the first to hold my hands up if I’m wrong “ crowd but turns out he’s probably going to be the last one to hold his hands up. He’d get more respect if he did but I suspect that’s not what motivates him.
So Johnson will run a mile when he speaks to the club? And he’s not interested with the current regimes plans? Is this all going to happen after he takes charge of the match today? Or has he not spoken to the club but signed the contract anyway? You’ve just lost any credibility you had left. I wouldn’t usually say this but I’m starting to think you’re a mag.
Will be interesting at 2pm when the team is announced. There will be full on melt downs if he goes 3 at the back . Ha'way the lads, let's get the 3 points.
I might be naive but I don’t think anyone would roll up to this forum specifically to spout lies and wind posters up. Niall Quinn’s Dad is coming out with things that people don’t want to hear but I believe he believes what he is saying. He seems to me to be getting info from someone/ somewhere and he is passing it on believing it to be true. Let’s hope his info is wrong but I don’t think he is posting to wind up people.
Yep,it can only be good for the health. I've seen the exchange you've had with SCT.....well done for getting that far with it...he's a ****ing nightmare!
Happy Birthday Janey, hope you have a great day. Used to live in Bournmoor, The Meadows, Kevin ball lived just over in Castlefields, anyway have a good day and hope some of the takeover news is good for your day.
, Johnson said: “Speaking to Kristjaan, Jim and the owners, I was absolutely blown away by their plans and dreams for the club. I can see so much potential and I see it everywhere. I see it in the league and how we can step up, I see it in the facilities, I see it in the community and the passion the people of Sunderland have, and I also see it in the academy. The feeling I got from the ownership group [made this the right club for me]. There was other interest, but that doesn’t matter now and I want to be successful and to see a brave new Sunderland. I want to be bold in my own decisions, I want to be bold for the team in the way that we play and the philosophy that we play to, but I also want the club to make bold decisions and that is what I’ve truly bought into. We have to connect the team and the fan base because that can be really powerful at a club like this
