Just going to post along similiar lines, but I see a few have already said it for me. Understandably the horses welfare is first and foremost but all the noise was he was in great knick and ready to roll. Really disappointing from that yard. Got to say, at least Nicholls doesn't shy away when there's a race to be won, he sends his horses there.
Todays picks, all from Aintree... 12:20 - Dashing Perk, 12:55 - Ballymoy 1:30 - Ramses De Talle 2:05 - Bellatrixsa 2:40 - Native River 3:15 - Senior Citizen Good luck to all who are playing today...
Oddy, what does that prove? Merely that he’s got more horses than suitable, available races, especially since handicaps are ‘no go’ for most top horses. Also, if you owned Tornado Flyer, would you be happy that your trainer is running three higher rated horses against you for a good prize? I wouldn’t! It’s only in recent times that Mullins, Elliott, and JP run up to 8 or 9 horses EACH in one race. It’s bloody daft and if you asked them, they’d say...”we’ve got to run them somewhere.” Too many horses and their top performers are ‘for show only.’
But at least he's running them - that was my point. He'd never pull a star horse from a Grade 1 because of heavy ground.
Grand Mogul beaten at 2/11, can't help thinking something is amiss at Seven Barrows and that's the real reason for Altior's absence. Since Epatante and Floressa won last Saturday Henderson has had just 2 bumper winners from 15 runners and so far today 2 odds-on shots beaten.
Carnage over the National fences and the Old Red Lion wins it again - great performance from the old boy
Great performance - get in The Red Lion ......... . but only if you have a substantial meal! Bit of aftertiming - he was my ew saver against Walk In The Mill. That's my story and I'm sticking to it Ga Law next
Will stick with Springtown Lake in the Grand Sefton (15:15). Backed him last time when he was a good second at this track. Conditions should suit admirably and hopeful the Philip Hobbs gelding will run a big race. Tom O'Brien rides. Hope you are all in luck today fellas!
I don't know who Harry Skelton was pointing at after Allmankind's win, but I was pointing back from the couch awesome round of jumping. We saw a couple of great maiden hurdles at Navan earlier as well, note them front few down and Conflated just put in a flawless round of jumping to take a good beginners there too.
Allmankind was impressive there, jumped em like a stag as they say... Loved every minute of it didnt he...
Sneaky feeling for Bellatrixsa at Aintree - very smart flat form and interesting she is chucked in here on debut
Politilogue simply out jumped em. Great performance there, and from Harry. Not the greatest of horses but always gives his all...
